You step through the portal, finding yourself standing suddenly in knee-deep snow. The freezing wind hits you like a swarm of needles and you duck away from the air, soon finding yourself cowering in a small inlet among the rocks that are around you. You glance about, the cold already sinking into your body, and realise you're near the top of some sort of mountain. You can see the rest of the mountain range nearby, and wonder why int he world Vaprrenon would have her portal open in such a cold place. Was she crazy?

You sigh, your breath appearing before you, and you decide that you'll freeze here. It is either stay and freeze, or keep moving and freeze trying to find a better shelter. Either way, things don't look too good. You hope Vaprrenon pops up somewhere soon.

You head out, wind pressing against your back as he head down the hardly non-existant trail towrd the foot of the mountain. You hope to see some cave in the side of the mountain, somewhere you can hide, but there is nothing.

You feel the wind suddenly pick up greatly behind you. So much so, in fact, that you fall to your knees and find yourself unable to stand with such pressure caused by the wind. And, just as quickly as that wind had come, it disappears. You stand, your hands trembling with cold as you brush the snow from them numbly.

You look up, suddenly feeling very warm, though only on your neck. You turn to face a large green creature, showing brightly against its white background. Before you can do or say anything, it rears on its hind legs and snatches you within its talons. You struggle a bit, but the large creature takes to the skies, you in hand and now held closely to its feathered--and more importantly, warm--breast.

The blue creature flies with you and your captor for a few moments, tilting his head as if in confusion, before beating his mighty wings and pulling himself forward. You look up ahead after the other beast, squinting as snow flies into your face. Once your sight clears you blink, seeinga small valley nesseled within a few of the mountains. This seems to be the green creature's destination.

The green beast soars down toward the valley with shocking speed, making you feel a bit nausious. You sit there pretty much helpless in in the creature's talons as she flutters to the valley floor. You look about the place in awe, seeing all green surroundings, despite the highter mountains' snow and icey cliff ledges. You fall to the ground as the griffon drops you. She flaps over a few feet and lands herself, grooming her feathers a bit before turning and watching you.

"Like it?" a voice rings from nearby. You sigh, and turn to see Vaprrenon, as you expected, and sitting on a fallen tree log nearby, next to the large blue griffon that you had seen in the sky. She scratches under the griffon's chin and coos to it gently before turning back to you. "This little baby boy is Peri, a blue male. He's a year or so younger than Leaf over there, my little green sweetheart and the first Gatathla Griffon I adopted. She looks out for this little guy here, as well as all the others, just one big furry, feathery family."

She smiles at you as you give a dumbfounded look to your guide. She sighs and rolls her eyes a bit in response. "Oh, fine, so he's not so little anymore, but he's still my baby after all, aren't ya, big boy?" You watch as Peri cooes at his owner, a strange almost gurlgling-like noise, and rubs his head into her shoulder. affectionately.

Vaprrenon smiles. "That's Peri's brother, Trillikan. He's a deep red boy, was quite lucky to find him, the little dear; that's an uncommon type of griffon to find around The Gatathla Hundansta!" She sees your confused stare and laughs. "Sorry, that's where these guys all came from. It's a hidden mountain range found in Gavania." You blink, but nodd slightly as if you understand.

Trillikan jumps a bit trying to regain your attention, swishing his lionlike tail. Vaprrenon giggles, knowing the young boy just wants to play with you and his green-feathered mentor. Having none of it, Leaf snorts at him and turns to head off. She wanders over to a large boulder not far from your little group and lays down. The young male hangs his head slightly, disappointed, but seems to perk up right away, promptly pouncing on an unsuspecting Peri.

Both you and Vaprrenon laugh to see poor Peri try and get the upper hand in the brotherly tumble. Surprisingly, the blue griffon does seem to gain an advantage and soon has his sibling pinned and wriggling. The triumphant griffon lets out a squawk of joy at the victory, swishing his tail madly. Trillikan squawks back in frustration, throwing his brother off before the two turn into a tumbling twist of blue and red feathers.

Vaprrenon shakes her head. "Well then, while they're off playing around at that, you can take a gander this way!" she giggles, standing up. You glance over at the feathered trio playing and lazing about once more before turning and following Vaprrenon down through the little meadow. Apparently, there is certainly more here for you to see.
