~ Miscellaneous Creatures ~

[ The EverRealm ]
You do as your guide instructs and find yourself wrapping your arms around this poor creature's neck, hanging on for dear life before she even begins to move. You let out a slight cry as there is jolt when she starts to gallope, and you bite your lip, hoping that you won't fall off and hurt yourself. That is most definately the last thing you need at the moment, now isn't it? You shut your eyes to try and make the little trip go by a bit faster, but you only succeed in making yourself feel sick as Iltrutient continues forward in her travels. You look up, not having focused much on scenery for a while now, when you feel the fire horse slow slightly, eventually coming to a full stop. You sit up, feeling strange not holding onto her now. You look to Reptillowl who appears at your side. He turns to you with a happy grin. "Here we are, then, eh?" he says cheerfully. "Iltrutient's found a little horde of us. Come on down and introduce yourself. She says she's eager to get back home; she's tired." You slip off of the flaming creature's back carefully and rub the side of her face before she turns and runs off from whence you all came, obviously heading home now. You turn back around to follow your guide, soon seeing what appears to be a small lion, half the size one might expect one to be. It refolds its golden wings and pads down from where it is seated atop a mound of rocks toward you. "This," Reptillow introduces, "Is Pure Gold, a Draslian from way back when. He thinks himself near to royalty around these parts," he says, rolling his eyes. "Just because he's one of the older pets here he thinks he should ahve special privleges." You laugh, but pet the creature anyway, watching him quite enjoy the attention. You can tell just by how he acts that he thinks himself more important than most. It makes you smile, quite amused with the little creature. He purrs happily, tail up, the tuff on the end weighing it down just enough for the end to slump over to the side. You please the little EverRealm feline by petting him a while longer, but then get a very dirty look when you tire of doing that and instead stand up to admire him. He snorts angerly at you and turns about, reclaiming his little perch upon the pile of rocks, thinking it his humble throne of nature. You hold in your laughter, not wishing to upset his majesty any further. You hear a flutter and look up, blinking when seeing a green bird perched near the draslian. He blended with the foliage and you hadn't noticed him earlier because he had stayed so quite. Reptillowl follows your gaze and grins. "That there is Bird of Earth. He's a Pteryx. Pure Gold thinks of him as his royal advisor for some reason. The bird has no objections; he enjoys the attention and respect. Who wouldn't?" The bird nodds slightly, ruffling his feathers a bit and stretching his wings. You're amazed to see he has claws, hands on the ends of his wings. The creature refolds his wings, fingers draped about the sides of his chest as he watches you and your guide to the EverRealm. "Well then," Reptillow says after a moment of your watching the strange birdlike creature, "We should be going now. There are some more creatures near here." He looks to the two seemingly royal figures. "We'll need a new light source," he says simply. |

Bird of Fire Flamnix Click-and-Take
You watch as the Draslian nods to the strange green bird near his side, seemingly in approval. The bird flaps its strange armlike wings and takes off, floating back into the trees and out of sight. You look to Reptillowl, who smiles reassuringly. "He's just going off to get us a new light, that's all. Not to worry!" You nodd, wondering if it will return with a tortch or if that would be too easy. You hope it is another strange fire creature who will guide you. | You look up when hearing a soft screachlike sound floats over the wind. The green bird soon reappears, a flickering light behind it a little ways. The supposed royal advisor reclaims his own perch, shaking himself a bit and refolding his odd wings, beak burried in his own chest for grooming purposes. Your eyes turn back to the sky. You watch as another bird, a bit larger than Bird of Earth, flutters down to you and your reptilian guide. It seems to be some sort of phynix; that seems to be the only way for you to describe it. The bird is glowing, flames dancing free from its large tail and the back of its neck. It turns its eyes to Reptillowl and the anthromorphic creature nodds. "This is Bird of Fire, a Flamnix. She wishes to say hello to you, visitor." You look to the bird as it nods, cooing softly in its own language to give greetings. It flaps its wings impatiently, looking to your guide as if to ask when and where the two of yor are going, wishing to get going as soon as possible. You shrug this time, and Reptillowl smiles with a nod. "Alright, then. Let's get going, shall we?" He starts off, the bird jumping to his shoulder, settling down, looking quite content. She refolds her wings and glances at you to make sure that you are following behidnt he two of them. You have no obligations when following these two, as Reptillow, you find, travels at a much slower and calmer pace than Weaver. It's a lot easier to keep up, and a lot harder to get winded, definately something you are happy about. The three of you don't travel all too far before you hear some rustling in the trees. You hear a yowl before soemthing falls from the trees and lands on your head, knocking you to the ground. You blink, staring up at a patch of red fur before the creature moves, his batlike wings out to the side, positioned to take off quickly if he finds you are angry with him after the event. Reptillowl turns around, laughing at you and the obviously feline creature. You look at the EverRealm creature. He is larger than a house cat, but smaller than most dogs...just enough to knock the wind out of someone should he drop onto one's head and roll onto their chest as they fall...much like what has just happened. "This is Flamtrich," Reptillowl introduces. "He can be pretty clumsy sometimes, sorry about him falling on you and all." You look to the feline creature, who smiles sheepishly, rubbing against you in apology. You pat the little thing on its head and, satisfied that there was no harm done, meows and runs off into the forest again. You sigh and stand, brushing yourself off. |
