You turn to Vaprrenon, asking her which portal would be a good one for you to take a look at. The ishna strokes her chin, glancinga round and humming in thought. Eventually, she snaps her fingers and turns to you with a smile. "Over this way!" She leads you to a nearby portal, pointing to it. "I think you'd like the creatures of Sha-Haven! They're such cuties!" You shrug, following her advice, and step inside the portal, feeling dazed and confused for a moment as a blinding white light surrounds you. Your vision soon clears, however, quickly followed by your other senses. You look around. There is a fense behind you, and a large open area before you, trees off in the distance. You follow the fense with your eyes, wondering about it. "It's so they don't wander off," Vaprrenon explains. You turn around to see her sitting on a fense post behind you. "They're too curious for their own good, so I made them a little pen. They're usually by the little pond in the middle. Come on!" She waves a hand to you as she hops down and you follow. At least the hike won't be long. You look up, seeing three little equine-looking figures frolicing around in the distance and, sure enough, they are right next to a small blue pond. These horselike creatures are incredibly small. The larger of the three, which you notice right away has a set of dragonic wings on his back, is only the size of a dog, while the other two are hardly bigger than a cat. "These three are Pepper, Mint, and Anow Blizzard," Vaprrenon introduces with a wave of her hand. "They were all limited editions suring the Sha-Haven Winter Festivle a while back. They're all the very best of friends, playing all day and sleeping all together at night. Hee." She smiles happily at the little things, who hardly seem to notice the two of you as they continue to keep playing merrily. "Well, come on over here, then," Vaprrenon says with a sudden change in the direction of her attention.

The ishna skips over to the pond, and you soon follow, knealing down near the waters as she sits down with her feet and legs dangling into the water. She splashes at the surface a little bit with her fingertips, whistling softly. After a moment a smile comes to her face and she glances over at you with a mischious smile that you would only expect to see on someone who was up to no good. "He's coming," she says at a near whisper to you. You glance out at the water, seeing the top of a tiny head peeking out. Light purple hair falls down into the two large eyes staring at you. You swallow as the little form comes closer, seeming to grow a bit braver over each inch, coming out of the water a little bit. You smile at the little merboy once he is within arm's length, and he smiles back happily. You look to Vaprrenon as she plays with the water, kicking it a bit, quite enjoying herself. "His name is Valentino," she says, looking over at the two of you. "He was an adorable little Valentine's Day gift to the CCF. I had this pond made especially for him so he could be with the other Sha-Haven creatures. I didn't want him to be lonely, after all." The little boy giggles and nodds happily as he listens to Vaprrenon. He glances at you again and holds out his little hand in greeting. You smile, shaking his wet little hand to make him happy. He smiles brightly, laughing again, and does a backflip into the water. You see his pink tail only a moment before water sprays all over you. By the time you look at the pond again, there isn't a sign he'd ever been there to begin with. |
