[ The EverRealm ]

Freedom leads you off, away from the little pond and back into the trees. You look around, frowning to see pine trees mixed with what seem to be palm trees. You glance back, swearing you had just seen a cactus, but just looking quite confused when you see only an empty space of forest floor where you could have sworn you saw the plant. This place was clearly getting stranger and stranger by the very minute.

You continue onward after your feline guide for a while, looking to her in curious confusion when she stops, gazing through the trees. Freedom looks back to you, nodding for you to come closer and take a look. You wander over, your gaze following your guide's arm when Freedom points off through the trees. You spy a large boulder shape strangely like some sort of pig creature, but your curiosity in the rock's formation disappears when you see two green doglike creatures moving about the stone. You look to the feline worling for an explaination.

"That one," Freedom whispers, "The one with the small wings, that one is Snuffers, and the maned one above it, climbing the boulder, that one there is called Mars." She smiles over at you, watching as you gaze curiously at the two creatures, wanting to get closer. You turn to Freedom and ask if you can. You don't like the look on her face, nor the slight shiver you see run through her body, sending the fur of her tail on end for a moment.

"I'd...rather not," she responds after a short moment. She looks over to you apologetically. "It's not because I'm a cat and they're dogs, mind you, not that at all. Those two are just...very territorial, I guess you could say. They don't like folk getting all that close to their home. They have a den under that big rock, you know, and they'd rather not have people wandering too close. That's why I stopped you over here...believe me, you really don't want to get that close to that little duo." Your guide glances back out at the two canine worlings.

You sigh, looking back over at them. You wish so much you could just get a bit closer, see them better, pet them maybe, something at least. But on the other hand, you're certainly glad to have Freedom as your guide around this strange place. You would hate to think what might have happened to you if you were alone or with an inexperienced guide showing you all these worlings.

All of these EverRealm worling creatures in this odd forest seem so different from each other, so unpredictable. And in this case, they seem quite dangerous. You would have to keep that in mind for any creatures you may encounter here in the future. Knowlege is power, after all, and you figure it would be best to use caution with these strange creatures poping up everywhere around you.

Freedom bites her lower lip, putting a hand on your shoulder. "Sorry about that, but there are plenty more worlings for you to meet here, ones you can actually pet and all; you'll like them better I'm sure." She smiles, tail flicking slightly at a small breeze that runs through the trees. "This way, I know there's a small group over in this part of the forest. Usually, at least."

She takes your hand gently, leading you off, away from the two canine worlings who were now sniffing the air for two strange scents a light breeze had swept into their area. Apparently you were getting out of there just in the nick of time. At least now you could look forward to some more savory worlings, and not ahve to worry about having your throat torn by two territorial canines. That was certainly an improvement at least, wasn't it? Staying alive is always good when danger is about.

You follow your feline guide for what seems forever, especially with your continually glancings over your shoulder. You can't shake the feeling that those canine worlings might be following behind te two of you, even if your guide doesn't seem bothered in the least. You just find the whole thing to be unnerving to say the least.

Freedom smiles back at you after a while. "We're here, the oasis!" she says warmly. You blink, confused. You ask if an oasis is only supposed to be in a desert. She stares at you blankly for a moment and merely shrugs her furry shoulders. "You're a strange one, you are," she comments softly, starting forward through the thickening trees. "...Oasis in the desert." You watch after her a moment, standing there in utter confusion before just shaking your head and going forth.

You fall through the trees and bushes, the branches and leaves slapping at you as they grow closer, harder to push through. You hiss in pain and anger when realising you'd stepped in a thorn bush of some kind along the way. It was too thick with underbrush to see where you were placing your own feet. Looking up, you realise you cannot even see Freedom anymore through the branches. Wonderful. You growl to yourself in frustration before shoving your shoulder through a last tangle of vines before falling to the ground.

You blink, pushing yourself up as you stare blankly at the sudden change in environment. You sit back, looking at the sand all around you...and the small bit of trees and bushes around a tiny pool of water not a hundred feet from you. You blink, looking up at your side to see Freedom, looking perplexed. She gives you a helping hand up, shaking her head. "You're a strange one, that look on your face. Come on." She leads you to the pool of water, where you see a large purple creature sitting.

You swallow, looking up at the obviously dragon-related ceature. Being this close to those massive jaws, you certainly hope that it's friendly. Freedom pats your shoulder reassuringly, looking up at the beast. "This here is a dragon worling, Simpipn. He'll be our ride for now to see some of the other worlings in the area." The great creature nodds slowly, as if bowing to you. He swishes his long tail around behind you and opens his wings.

You gawk at how large his wingspan seems, never having seen something so big that wasn't man-made. He grunts, glancing down under one wing. You follow his gaze, amazed to see a little creature, the size and likeness of a small pony. It flutters its small pair of butterfly-like wings and whinnies, as if glad to see you.

"This little dear," Freedom says fondly, going over and petting the little equine worling's red mane, "Is Summer Shimmer. She is such a sweetheart, let me tell you...always giving flowers and checking in just to say 'hi' and being sure you're having a good day..." She squealed happily, kissing the little creature's muzzle before turning back to you. She says she has to go visit someone today so she can't come with us, but she wanted to make sure she at least said hello to you while you were in town."

You smile and give an awkward wave to the little equine worling. She seems to smile in return, bucking a bit playfully before fluttering her wings again. It was more powerful this time, enough so to lift her from the ground. She tucked her little legs under herself, giving one last whinney before flying off over the trees from whence you two came. You sigh, looking back to the large dragon and your guide.

Freedom smiles happily. "Well, now that that's finished and over with," she announces, "Let's get along with Simpipn and see what else there is to see around here, huh?" She grins, looking up at the dragon as she shifts so it is easier for you and your feline worling companion to get onto his back so you can all continue.

You climb up carefully, glad that you can at least grip the beast's mane so you don't have to worry about sliding off the worling's neck during flight. Freedom climbs up behind you, petting her arms around your waist, not having a bit of the dragon's mane to hang onto for herself. "Hold on, then, he likes to go pretty fast sometimes," she warned with a laugh as the dragon worling beats his great wings. You hold on tight as he lifts into the air and starts out toward a mountain range previously blocked by all of the forest's trees.
