Adam: The very first Angel, Adam was discovered in Antarctica during the Katsuragi expedition lead by Misato's father. There people who saw the Angel described it as a glowing giant. Mankind had found their god of gods, but when mankind tried to contain the power of Adam, by reducing it to it's embryo form, the god fought back, the second impact. Adam vanished, and was not even seen again until many years later when mankind revived their god from its remains found after the second impact, containing him in his embryo form. Then came the Angels.
Supposedly, Adam possed similar abilities to those of the Evangelions created by NERV and SEELE as the Evas were created from Adam. Considering this, Adam is probably much more powerful than any of the other angels and has the ability to rapidly regenerate, thus making the Angel the ultimate close combat opponent. As with the other angels, Adam posses any S2 engine that can provide an endless source of energy, and it is also speculated that Adam can manipulate this energy to use as it wishes, which would explain the melting of Antarctica. Adam also posseses a AT, absolute terror, field that is an almost impenatrable force feild, like all other angels, but it's sufficiency is unknown. |
