As it turns out, the anime series .hack//SIGN is only a prequel to a larger

story. After the airing of .hack//SIGN, a four-part video game series premiered, featuring the story of a boy named Kite and his quest to find out how his best friend had come into a coma. Played on the Playstation 2, this series also comes with a bonus CD featuring one episode of the OVA series, .hack//LIMINALITY, which occurs in the same universe and time as the game. As of now, this has already come out in America and is for sale right now in stores. It is an incredibly good game and a must-play for .hack fans everywhere! ^_^ There is also a manga called .hack//Legend of the Twilight and an anime series by the name of .hack//DUSK. Both take place after the adventure with Kite as two newbies win the rare costume designs of the legendary Black Rose and Kite and join the world on their fun-loving adventure. I don't know much about this series, but from the looks of it, it takes on a more light-hearted twist than the other series.
