Jeffrey Vaughn was born on September 28, 1977 in Canton, Ohio. He attended Northwood Elementary School in North Canton. During middle school he was accepted into a gifted students program and attended Pleasant View School for the arts. From there he went on to Glen Oak high school and graduated in June of 1996. Subsequent to graduation, he relocated to the beaches of Jacksonville Florida where he was employed part time as a certified personal trainer at a local health club. He developed an interest in computers and made the decision to attend college and pursue a degree in Computer Information Systems and Business at the University of North Florida. Around this time he applied and was accepted as a member of Mensa, in which he is a lifetime member. His interest in weight lifting and fitness continued to develop during his early twenties and the idea of becoming a competitive lifter became very real. In October of 2002 he decided to put his time spent in the gym lifting weights to the test. He entered his first powerlifting event that was held in Daytona Beach Florida. He has subsequently competed in other national events and has won two national powerlifting championships. Jeff has most recently qualified and competed in the G.P.C. World Powerlifting Championships that took place at the University of Georgia on November 7, 2004. Jeff took first place in his weight class, out lifting two Canadian competitors, and added a world title to his list of powerlifting accomplishments. Jeff's efforts are now concentrated on training for powerlifting events and completing his education in the Information Technology field. Jeff possesses a firm commitment and dedication to being a powerlifting champion and a successful technology professional. |
