Practically all my poetic output can be found in

Each poem has a history related to my time with ancient sites.
Demetra
for example, was written in response to a doom-and-gloom
for the species poem I wanted to refute.
Inferno
I wrote after running away from the forest fire that raged for six
days and nights in the region I have my vacation home.
This is the great grandparent
of them all
surviving innumerable fires. The diameter of the trunk is
about 3 yards. The branches are bowed down with the weight of the
olives, and are being supported by staffs, which can be discerned
by the cognoscenti.
The hill in the background used to be a green pine forest.
This is a close up that shows the hollow trunk
eaten away by forgotten fires.
Life triumphant
Save the nightingale
and here is the poem inspired by the lovely songs on the CD
