1)

tail swishing
rope snarled around rock
impatient whinny




2)

looking askance
wide distorted  nostrils
apple devoured


3)

day turns into  night
the horse a shadow
in the starlight

4)

morning dew
freshens green grass,
under seeking mouth

5)

smell of manure,  memory
of horse long gone
to new pasture
