P-Cygni is allegedly a Luminous Blue Variable(LBV) star, a representative of this rare and elusive group of stars
which occupy the upper parts of the HR diagram, along with the likes of Wolf-Rayet stars, Of supergiants and
emission line stars. These represent various stages of ZAMS with masses = 40* M_sun. Of all the LBV's, P-Cygni
and h-Carina show the most spectacular and peculiar properties.
