Splitter 2.0 is a utility to split
large files into smaller ones. Splitter is different
from other similar utilities in many ways,
1- Splitter is very small.
2- Splitter is very fast.
3- Splitter free.
Splitter will attach itself to the
first part of the archive. When you execute the first
part of the archive, it will restore the original file
and recreate tself.
Important Notice:
If you use a utility that causes the long file names
to be truncated, Splitter will not be able to recognize
the archive parts. Use short file names or a utility
that does not truncate file names.
Splitting Files
Start spliter by double-clicking
on the splitter icon. when the Splitter windows appear,
click File to select the file you want to split int
smaller files.
Select the size of the archive parts.
The sizes available are 360 KB, 720 KB, and 1.44 MB.
Click Split to split the file into
smaller parts.
The newly generated files are named
after the original file. If the original file name is
FileNamexyz.ext The archive parts will be
FileNamexyz_00.exe <-------First part
FileNamexyz_01.SSP
FileNamexyz_02.SSP
FileNamexyz_03.SSP
.
.
FileNamexyz_99.SSP <-------Last part
The number of parts depends on the
original file size and the
part size you selected.
UnSplitting Files:
From the previous example, to UnSplit
the file FileNamexyz, Double-click on the first part
of the archive. The program will check to see if all
the archive parts are available. Click UnSplit to create
the original file. The unsplitter
will also generate a copy of itself.
