SESSION 15 Addendum A: Sunday's expedition wrapup info...

Howdy Folks!

A couple of minor things.

First, I forgot to mention -- but the 48 Hyakuhei (zombie soldiers) each had an obsidian medallion (with some sort of generic unit insignia), non-magical, worth 50 gp each. The barbarian village cannot absorb them (though they'll accept some of them as their 10% camp guards fee) but later you should be able to trade them in for real cash at Waterstone Temple.

Second -- regarding the Tattoos in general -- the 'two hands count as one tattoo total' concept is true, i.e. even though both hands have the tattoo on them, they count as just having one tattoo. However, you would have to lose both hands before you lose the granted power -- if you lose one hand, you may not be happy but the power will still be there.

Third, regarding the Monkey Tattoo, which grants a competence bonus to a variety of skills. The bonus does not make these skills class skills or anything, however there are a few trained-only skills on the list, and for those skills, the bonus does allow you to make skill checks even if you have no actual ranks in those skills.

Fourth, regarding the Unicorn Tattoo -- which alloes one reroll per day -- note that this can be ANY die roll thhat the wearer makes to determine the random result of a normal action or spell or whatever, which includes d20 rolls for attacks, saves, skill, ability and caster level checks, but also includes spell failure chances, damage rolls from weapon attacks, the results of a spell (i.e. could reroll a fireball or other area effect damage if desired), and so on. Of course, it is only usable once per day -- and if you reroll you DO have to use the second roll instead of the first. And in terms of knowing how good the roll is before deciding whether or not to reroll, for things like attacks and saves, technically you should decide whether to reroll or not based on the number rolled without knowing for sure whether that would have been good enough or not -- though in some cases it may be obvious anyways. However, I may forget at times and react too quickly in informing someone of what happens when they could have rerolled, so I will try to be flexible and allow rerolls in such instances. After all, once a day is only once a day, and the intent is for a potentially devastating bad roll to be able to be rerolled...

I think that is it for now. -- Ernie III / DrakaraGM
