After some consideration and much musing Zenako believes that the following allocation of the treasures gathered will enhance our group and equitably spread the rewards and items we found. (Note, any potions or items allocated to characters on an interim basis were reclaimed for redistibution. I think many of them end up going back to the current holders. To my knowledge, none of the found potions or scrolls were used during the session.)
The blessings of the ancestors that we all recieved from the "Lucky Gods" are boons to be revered and treasured. The "god" of Happiness blessed Zenako, Ashiko and Saru! with the Unicorn Tattoo and the prospects of happiness in our futures. The "god" of Victory blessed Gorvak, Mulan, Isaku and Tilk with a Falcon Tattoo and unwavering courage in the face of Fear and the keys to victory in future conflicts. The "god" of Wealth blessed Hatori with the Monkey Tattoo, perhaps with acknowledgement to his soul bonded companion Saru, and will assist in whatever attempts Hatori makes to secure wealth in the future. The final "God" of Long Life and Health blessed Noku with a Crane Tattoo, for which he has a curious affection, and Noku has not sneezed since, with an aura that defeats all diseases that enter his body.
Beyond these blessings, the efforts of our cleansing of the Ruins of Ming Yo Temple were bountiful and many and will herewith be allocated.
To the valiant Barbarian Gorvak, who already knew no fear, we allocate the Red Obi of Giant Strength +4 and request his now excess Obi of Giant Strength +2 so that it might be turned over to another. It is fitting that he whose blow finally vanquished the last bearer of this Obi shall now wear it with distinction. (Aside to Mike, this also means that you should be able to figure out just two combat states. One normal with your Obi worn which raises your STR to 18 (from 14) for +4 to hit and +6 to damage from strength when using a two handed weapon, and the second state when you Rage and your STR then goes up to 22 for a +6 to hit and +9 to damage with two handed weapon. You will not have to worry about the variables from each new Bull's Str.)
To our Ranger and Tracker Hiruma Mulan, we allocate the Obi of Giant Strength +2 last worn by Gorvak and 2 and 1/2 blocks of Incense of Concentration. After some musing on the matters of Incense, it became clear to Zenako that such items best serve those who have few spells, such as herself and Mulan. Permitting a primary spellcaster to prepare yet another 1st level spell on a given day would not add much to the power of the party, but permitting Mulan for example to prepare an additional Entangle Spell could help greatly. The spell must be cast that day or the benefits are lost. Gorvak and Til'k have no spells, and adding another 1st level spell to Noku, Ashiko, Hatori or Isaku would not help that much.
To our temple ally and kindred spirit in training Til'k, we allocate the following items: The Nunchaku +1, +1 with Ghost Touch; Potion: Aid; Potion: Kiss of the Toad; Potion: Prot Evil; Talisman - Soaring Crane (Haste); Potion: Swimming (Fish). It was clear that only few had been trained in the use of that exotic weapon and its Ghost Touch feature might be most useful.
To our Shaman Monk Isaku, we allocate the following items recovered from the undead warriors and monks who protected the Shrine of the Enlightened one even after death: Ivory Tube #1: Divine(Sha): Trance (1st), Inflict Light Wounds (1st); Ivory Tube #2: Divine(Sha): Speak with Plants, Know Motivation, Resist Elements:Acid; Ivory Tube #3: Divine(Sha): Restoration (4th); Sai +2,+2; 16 Shuriken +1; Green Kimono of the Ki Warrior (grants Jade touch, and +1 level of Mighty KI and a bunch of other stuff on the sheet that Ginny has). Isaku has need of second order weapon for the moment at least and the Sai will serve that purpose. The shuriken are now ammo and can be damaged when hurled. Normal magical arrows are "consumed" if the hit the target and survive 50% of the time when they miss. Also note, the 3 Ivory scroll tubes are worth 100 gold each, but were kept with the scrolls they came with.
Our valiant Air Lord Shugenja Soshi Ashiko is allocated the following items: Ivory Tube #4: Divine(Sha): Control Winds; Ivory Tube #5: Divine(Sha): Forced Shapechange (6th); Divine Scroll: Dance of the Unicorn (5th) and 500 gold. No other recipient would have been proper for the Control Winds scroll and the other scrolls will hopefully be of use to her for possible trade or exchange in her future dealings. (Note too that the two Ivory scroll tubes are worth 100 au each and this is not reflected in the 500 gold that was listed above.)
Imperial Sorceror Miya Hatori is allocated the following portions: 48 Obsidian Medallions, Potion:Heroism, Potion: Neutralize Poison (x'd out skull); Potion: Cure Moderate Wounds (two stiches). The Obsidian medallions can be sold at a later date for gold as DM-san indicated (50 Au each), but also might have other uses for one of his station. (In 3.0, potions of Heroism are much different than in past systems, they give a +2 bonus to hits, saves and skill checks for some time, no extra hit points.)
Our sometimes inscrutible (but always dangerous) Fire Lord WuJen Noku is allocated the following selection of items: Scroll: Permanency; Potion: Cure Serious Wounds; Potion: Prot Arrows (Broken Arrow) and 470 gold. May the blessings of long life and health granted to you by the Lucky Gods reflect on your companions as well.
Your Honorable Samurai Sohei Tsuruchi Zenako allocates to herself the remaining 3 Blocks Incense of Concentration; Potion: Spider Climb; Potion: Cat's Grace (Cat) and a portion of the arms and armor collected from defeated foes (worth about 900 gold). The incense for reasons listed for Mulan, the Potions for aiding me in getting out of the next vertical hallway I traverse.
and lastly our Barbarian associates who support our camp and protect us while we sleep recieved a significant quantity of Arms and Armor and 420 Silver for a grand total value of 720 gold. The selling price of the Arms and Armor would be 678 Gold if sold, it has twice that value at retail. Most of the arms and armor from the enlightened shrine warriors was turned over to the barbarians for their use, disposal or whatever they choose. This is actually a good bit more than 10% of the cash value gathered this time (if you count arms and armor as "cash") and is closer to 15%, but pales in comparison to the total treasure value collected which was over 70K (trailing only the pile gathered from the Brigands) The allocations to date are still somewhat equitable, with Hatori, Gorvak and Isaku now a sizeable bump ahead of the rest of the company (55 to 63K in divided value to date) with the rest of the group all spread (from 33 to 39K). Getting singular items of 16K value will do that (as did Hatori's Ball "worth" 42K in the past). As time passes, and our wealth and accomplishments grow, the wealth and treasures of all of the company will increase as well. Zenako will be fair and equitable in her decisions as she has been to date.
