Comments: The title is a play on Celest's full name and of some of the events that go on in one or two stories. I'd really wanted to try out something with her hair (which I ended up not trying out at all) and it resulted in this image. I'd like to point out first that there is detail in the hair and beads you probably can't even see, but it's there. This is one of the first times I'd tried to makes the change from orange to black hair in a cell style. In the past I normally just made an orange layer and a black layer and used a soft brush to make a small gradient fade from orange to black. Here I just have a hard edge with is mixed with the orange and black strands. I also tested out someone's hair shine technique, and I can say for once that I am satisfied with her hair shine. Another thing I'm finally satisfied with is her insignia on her forehead. It's so hard to try and make them glow and glow the way you want them too. One more first (as this picture was very experimental with several things) is that it's one of the first times any of the Triton Triplets have been seen in the color red. The toga was rather fun to color, but her gold adornments were annoying. Her wings proved to be tedious and time consuming. It's not that distinguishable but there are four shades in her wings. Lastly, on the background I decided a not busy simple wash, which balanced out very well. I added the painted blurs where I did because I hoped they would draw the viewer's eyes to her face, than down by her wings, and up into the wings again. The wing's feathers are diagonal, and end up coming back into the face. So I'm hoping this piece turned out aesthetically pleasing in a 2D design because I hope that you look at the full picture and come back to the focal point (which I suppose happened to be her face). I'm guess this took anywhere between 10 and 20 hours for completion.
