So there you have it. Although a simple drawing and request, the amount of time I worked on it was, well, more than I bargained for. I decided instead of a plain, mid day, background I wanted a sunrise/sunset affect. And I wanted it at an autumn season time frame. So not only are the leaves colorful, they're also shaded with odd hues because of the time of day. I tried to apply a little concept I'd been hearing in my college class where you tie the areas in your art by color placement. Like taking a white color and putting it in a black area, and a black color in a white area connects the two areas. Well, I tried to apply this by adding the blue colors of the sky into the leaves, and adding a bit of the orange of the sky in the grass. You can still see the orange in the grass, and I'm not sure I like that >_O. As for Autumn Skye herself, I was lazy and didn't draw her symbol. My excuse was that it was originally printed on her left hip. But because of her lack of symbol, it's hard to distinguish who she is because of her heavily shaded body and hair. If I didn't know better, I wouldn't even guess the base colors in her hair were orange, yellow, and gold, would you? I'd also tried something new with that line alterations, for the most part, I think this new way is a little less of a hassle than the way I was trying to do a couple images ago.
