Ingredients Beer Makers Newcastle Brown Ale 1 Kg LME 15 gms Northern Brewers Hops (pellets)
Method Boiled in 2L water for 20 mins Cooled for 20 mins - strained into fermenter
Facts and Figures FG target: 1.012 FG reached: 1.012 22 Litres
Analysis Used lesser quantity of different hops this time (Northern Brewers instead of Cascade) Munton Gold yeast used instead of yeast supplied with brew Great taste - very similar to commercial brew but still lacking the malty background Very good recipe - change of hops and/or yeast worked out well Will put more malt in next time
