Analysis

Used same quantity of Northern Brewers hops as our last very successful

attempt at Newcastle Brown

Also added LME to try to capture that little extra 'something ' that was

still missing (or at least make a unique malty Newcastle brew)

Yeast activated quite quickly but almost stopped by Day 2

Specific Gravity remained high but stable

Tasted quite sweet and malty at bottling

The mature taste is great for those who like a strong malty brew

Not quite your commercially prepared Newcastle Brown

(that taste is amazingly difficult to replicate)

but this recipe is closer

Best Newcastle we've made to date !
