The thought of sharing Christ with our non-Christian friends can
be very daunting. It's easy to think that evangelism should be left
to the 'experts'!
When it comes to evangelism, remember the apostle Peter, who was
not a gifted orator, but a fisherman before Jesus called Him!
It was the power of the Holy Spirit that made Peter such a great
proponent of the faith, and that same Spirit is given us today.
Likewise Paul, who brought so many Gentiles to Christ, was not a
gifted speaker either, merely a man with a life-changing message.
(1 Cor 2:1-2).
Peter tells us to "be prepared to give an answer to everyone
who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have."
Ask yourself "What is it that Christ has done for me? What
has he changed in me, and why and how did he do it?" Be prepared
to give your own testimony of who Jesus is and what he has done
for you, and 'evangelism' may become a much simpler and more natural
task.
