| The Volusia County Orchid Society was founded in 1989 to fulfill the need for a unified countywide society. Several smaller regional societies still exist with the majority of their members also belonging to the Volusia County Society. The Society is affiliated with the American Orchid Society, Inc. Membership includes both hobby and Commercial growers. Our members help the society grow and improve. |
| Purpose |
| To unify orchid growers county wide. · To promote public interest in growing orchids in the Volusia County area of East Central Florida. · To help members gain a greater knowledge of orchids and orchid culture. · To encourage activities of interest to orchid enthusiasts including the holding of and participating in the shows, the exchange of plants and the communicating of relevant information. |
