This pot was wood fired.

Wood firing is a process of using wood for fuel to fire a kiln up to 2200 degrees or more on a regulated schedule. The temperature climbs to melt and fuse the chemicals applied to the surface of a clay object to produce the desired result.

This piece was fired in a train kiln (style). The time required varies from 3 to 10 days depending on the size of the kiln and amount of items in the kiln.
