Special Prefixes and Call Signs

for 1999

On request, a special call sign prefix or special call sign may be authorized by Industry Canada to mark the significance of a commemorative event. Information on procedures and guidelines used by Industry Canada when processing authorization requests, is available on a separate page.

On this page, RAC will attempt to keep a current list of Special Prefixes and Special Call Signs which have been approved for use in Canada. An archive of special prefixes and callsigns for previous years are kept on a separate page

The accuracy and timeliness of the information on this page depends on contributions from amateurs, as there is no central record at the present time of special prefix or call sign allocations. Please send detailed information about any new allocations which have been approved by Industry Canada to:
Ken Pulfer VE3PU
