First of all his portable phone has no protection from outside interference it
should say e back of or in the owners manaul such.Those operate on 49 Mhz.
Second tell him to turn off those dam pre-amps.Does he have a decent antenna
or is he trying to make-up with a preamp,he needs a good antenna pointed in
the right direction.I'd tell him you want to help but you don't have to help
him or pay for anything.
