History

For those of you who don't know what Mastermind is (where've you been the last 30 years???), here's a little about it.

Mastermind was invented by Mordecai Meirowitz, an Israeli Postmaster/Telecommunications expert in 1970-71.  For a cool site that will tell you the intricate details about Mastermind to Investigations into the Master MindTM Board Game

About

Mastermind is the ultimate neuron-popping peg game. For those of you who've never played it, or have, but forgot how to, here are the basic rules of the game. In the original board game, one player picked four (4) colored pegs out of a possible six colors--Red (R), Purple (P), Yellow (Y), Green (G), Blue (B), and Brown (W)--and put them in any random order that he/she wished. Then, player two would try to guess the colors and the order that the pegs were in. Not that much fun for the Picker (unless you like to see someone's head explode when they can't figure out what they're 'missing'), but lots of strenuous fun for the Guesser. Whenever the Guesser makes his/her guess, the Picker 'tells' the Guesser how well he/she did by awarding him/her pegs. The Guesser got a Black peg (a dark gray 'C' in my game) if he/she had the correct colored peg in the correct place, but only a White peg (a bright white 'I' in my game) if he/she guessed the correct colored peg in the incorrect place. Not so hard, you say? Well the catch is that you only have six (6) rounds to do it in, so good luck!

Tell me what you think about the page.  Yes, I made this Matrix web theme, took all morning tell me how you like it.  If I don't get feedback, I don't update the page unless I am extremely bored...like today.  Here are some various ways of getting in contact with me.  I check my e-mail every day, I never plan to install ICQ again, I don't ever log into Yahoo Pager, I send mailing list info about once a month, I check my guest book twice a week.  I am open to suggestion.  Enough babbling.
