Good writers borrow from other writers. Great writers steal from them outright.
~ Sam Seaborn, 20 Hours in America, Part II
I admittedly came into my West Wing obsession a little late. It all began back in the first season when I saw the final five minutes of "Take This Sabbath Day". I was entranced, and then I went back to school and thought about the show and watched to watch the show, but found it hard to catch. I came back to it a few years later and it has become a driving force and inspiration.
This page is my chance to work within his (and later John Wells') words and to bring glory and justice to the characters that were created. My stories here, I hope, dare to do what the series did for seven beautiful years: inspire you to dream and also, to learn about the issues I present. I know that as my fingers have clicked away on my thin keyboard night after night when I should be working on my term paper or doing the dishes, that I have found my own peace and my own dreams in this world. Perhaps it is because the world we currently live in is so besieged with fear, perhaps it is because something about this show touches me so much, perhaps it is because I have dreams of working as a speechwriter, crammed into a tiny office near the steam pipe trunk distribution venue. Perhaps all of it, perhaps more. As I write here, words for characters created by another, I find inspiration in my own original characters.
On May 14, 2006, the show came to an honorable end. But here, in this little corner of cyberspace, the West Wing lives on. Please, take the time to explore the world that were not created by me, but that I myself have thought to explore. Thank you Aaron Sorkin, thank you John Wells, thank you Warner Brothers and NBC. I don't get what I want. I don't get eight years of another ground breaking administration, but you have inspired me to not only write about the ones that you created, but to help create one here, in this realm.

In other words, all West Wing characters are owned by NBC, Warner Brothers, John Wells, et al. I have absolutely no rights at all regarding them. The stories I write do have adult content, be it sexual situations, scenes dealing with graphic violence, extra marital affairs, war, etc. But, not every story has those scenes. Each and every story has a rating next to it. For ratings of Mature/Adult nature, if you are under the legal age in your area to read/view such content: DON'T! You breaking the law only kills the fun for everyone. Most stories, while contained in series, can also be read as stand alones.

What You Should Know:
On December 16, 2005, this country lost a giant. John Spencer, the legendary actor who brought Leo McGarry (and many other characters) to life, passed suddenly from a heart attack. His death was written, heartbreakingly, into the show and here in my writing, I deal with his loss through stories and commentaries.
Appropriate credit: The icon of Leo can be linked to: carissima47, the image of the White House and the Moon can be found here. The FANTASTIC person who made the Abbey Icon can be found here . Sometimes I don't know who grabbed a picture, I just save it, so if its yours and you want credit, let me know. Also, if you have a problem with my using your icons or the images you've captured, please, let me know.
