Immortals Issue 1:  Page one

The Quest for eternal life is what all humans have searched for.  What if it was achieved, and further more what if it came in the form of a small pill?  What if man's ultimate achievement was also his gravest mistake?

Let me tell you a story of this immortal Quest.  The beginning is a good place to start?the year was 2002, the place a small lab in New Mexico, USA.  I just turned 21 when a lab technician named Jon made the discovery.  He knew me since grade school and helped me get a job in the lab as a "Computer Consultant."  A bunch of genies around and not one can turn on a computer? must be bad pick up lines!  Oh, bad joke. Jon was 2 or 3 years older then I.  Runt of guy, but stronger then shit!!  His blonde hair was cropped short and his glasses seemed to make his blue eyes look like glass. As I said he is a genus and militaristic. 

Let me lay out the scene, a small building concealed by trees a few offices some living quarters, and a munitions shack.  That's my place of comfort, always afraid of getting shot.  Well I guess I should describe myself, right?  I am tall, brown hair, color changing eyes, and the physic of a lumpy pillow.  I'm basically a repairman, a janitor, and human guinea pig all in one.  But I had one good thing on my side, a blade.  Not just any blade, a Spanish rapier in mint condition from the 1600's.  Written in English on the bell are the ironic words "none lives forever," its killed a thousand and two men in its lifetime.  One day Jon and a young female lab tech, her name was Nez? I think, invited me to assist in testing a "cure for the common cold."  Seeing as I was suffering with a head cold I decided to help.  I thought rats or that ugly hairless cat, but when I went into the lab all I could see was Jon and a large pill in the room.  I took two steps in and the door shut behind me. Now I'll let the flash back go on here.

"What's going on?" I asked

"The guinea pig has arrived." Jon said clapping his hands.
