A/N – OK – here is
all the important stuff that you NEED TO READ!!! This fic is a sequel to Pain
of Pleasure, but it focuses on the Romance of Chichi and Raditz. You don’t need
to have read Pain of Pleasure to understand this fic; I’ll give you a short
summary of what’s happened later. There will be a little bit of Bulma/Vegeta
(but not much) enjoy the fic!
Frieza purged planet
Earth and killed everyone but Chichi, Bulma and Gohan who all escaped, and
Piccolo who was captured by a rebel band of saiyans led by Vegeta. Bulma and
Chichi were later caught by the saiyans who killed Gohan in a fight, Bulma
ended up as Vegeta’s sex slave while Chichi was kept locked in the dungeons.
Bulma and Chichi later escaped only to be caught by Frieza who also took a
liking to Bulma…once again Chichi was kept locked in the dungeon.
Bulma tried to kill
Frieza (she almost stabbed him to death) and managed to escape with Chichi
again, this time they fled into space and when they were caught between Frieza
and Vegeta they chose to go with Vegeta. By this time it was revealed that
Bulma was pregnant with Vegeta’s child. The saiyans took them to planet Yardrat
where Piccolo was. Unfortunately Frieza caught up with them and offered Vegeta
three saiyan woman in exchange for Bulma.
Vegeta made the
trade, knowing that if he didn’t Frieza would kill them all anyway. And so
Bulma left with Frieza, with Piccolo as her guard and Vegeta got his
three-saiyan woman.
But what happened to Chichi on planet Yardrat?
What indeed…^_^

It was lonely in the dark abyss, no friends to help her see, no
family with which she could surround herself.
She was alone, utterly and completely.
Sometimes a voice would reach her in the darkness, a familiar
voice but one that brought no sense of security, only pain and fear and perhaps
the fleeting memories of loved ones long gone.
She knew that although here in the darkness there was no light,
colour or smell that there was a better world someplace else, a world in which
pain and discomfort were only a small part, a world in which there was also
love and light and happiness, a world that she had once been a part of.
But she could barely remember what that place was like, her
memories were deteriorating and falling to pieces like old fabric, slowly
drifting away from her, she could remember only pieces of her old life. The
smell of pine trees in the morning and the softer smell of roses, the feel of a
warm body pressed against hers or the smell of food cooking of a hot stove, she
could even remember the bright colours of a rainbow if she tried hard enough,
but it was fuzzy and she knew that tomorrow the memory of colour would have
fallen away from her too.

He sat by the bed and watched her, sometimes she would twitch
and his heart would rise in the hope that perhaps today would be the day that
would waken and he would no longer be alone, he didn’t hold much faith however,
the doctors had told him that she was getting weaker as the days drifted past
and that any day might be her last now.
Her days of fighting to survive were over, she was never again
going to laugh at something he had done or gently hold him close to her at
night.
He blinked away unshed tears, determined to be strong, not give
in to the weak emotions that pulled at his subconscious, the sadness, the
feeling of uselessness and the pain he had felt over her loss.
The blame fell in many places he knew, but he was sick of
playing the blame game, sick of pointing the finger at people he had once
considered friends, or at least comrades in arms, but most of all he was sick
of blaming himself.
She moved again, this time her whole head moving sideways as if
pulled by a giant string, her hair, long and black slid across the pillow like
silk, her pale skin seemed to grow paler and for a moment time stood still as
she paused breathing and her life balanced on a knife edge…but the moment
passed and she drew yet another breath, tenuously hanging onto life by a flimsy
thread.

Nearby the broken lovers another man contemplates love. His
obsidian eyes are unfocused as he relives the moment in life long ago when he
changed the fate of his people for the best by turning his back on the one he
loved.
His memories taunt him like demons, forcing him to remember the
look of betrayal on her face when he had condemned her to a fate worse then
death. The look of sadness and lastly the look of acceptance which perhaps was
worse then anything else, he had handed her to a madman and she had simply done
what he wished.
The words echoed emptily around in his head, at the time he had
though that time would heal the pain of losing her, but time had only opened
the wound further and each day he missed her more.
Each day the aching pain that was missing her grew deeper and
sharper.
He had tried to find solace in others, tried to find happiness
with others but when she had left, she had taken away the part of him that
loved with her.
He missed her so much.

Somewhere in the depths of space and young woman sits
contemplating the stars, her long blue hair has been weaved with jewels and her
eyes are deep and seem to see through all those around her as though she views
another world altogether.
She is beautiful, but if you look closely at her you notice that
her skin from her neck down is laced with small white scars, a testimony to the
sacrifice she made to save what she loved.
She sits staring out at the endless black of space and wonders
what happened to her soul, she wonders if it escaped or if it’s still in her
somewhere.
The young woman feels no emotions as she remembers her past,
only a deep regret that she is no longer able to see his face.
One day perhaps she will step outside and let the black space
claim her, but for now she is content to sit and watch the universe pass her
by.
Nothing can touch her where she is.
Nothing can harm her anymore.
She is only a pretty doll, and dolls don’t feel emotions.
A single diamond tear streaks down her face, testimony to her
loneliness as she sits in her glass cage and plans her ending.

Chichi couldn’t believe what Vegeta had done, she’d known he was
a heartless bastard but to trade Bulma to that monster was something that she
had though even he wouldn’t do. She held baby Trunks close to chest, determined
to raise the boy so he would know the truth not only about his father but the
truth about his mother.
Bulma would have wanted Trunks to be raised by her; Chichi knew
of Bulma’s distaste for the saiyans. Even when she had agreed to join Vegeta she
had only tolerated the others, and Chichi could understand her hatred - her
Gohan had been killed by the saiyans and for the longest time Chichi had
distrusted and hated them for that. Then she had met him. Raditz was different,
she couldn’t quite place what it was about him that she liked, but like him she
did. He had told her a long time ago that he was Goku brother, he had even had
the nerve to say that maybe he and his brother shared the same taste in woman,
but she still liked him - even if he was nasty at times.
Bulma…
Chichi let her thoughts roam back to the woman who had saved her
life time and time again when they had been running away from Frieza and the
saiyans in space, Bulma had never once left her behind when she was in the jail
cells, each time she’d broken her friend out and kept her promise to look after
her…Chichi sobbed, and how did she repay Bulma? She let Vegeta give her away
like a stray animal he no longer wanted.
And as for that floozy of a saiyan Grape! Boy was she a piece of
work! She and Vegeta had some kind of a thing going, Raditz had told her all
about it, apparently she was trying her hardest to get pregnant to Vegeta so
they’d have to become bonded mates.
Grape didn’t believe that Vegeta could possibly have really,
actually bonded to a human, it wasn’t possible according to her. Chichi and
Betty, the other female human survivor, had taken quite a lot of pleasure when
Grape had thrown a temper tantrum when Vegeta had confirmed that he was bonded
to the person Grape had termed as a ‘weak bitch’. Chichi didn’t trust Grape
much; she was twisted and cruel and had twice already tried to hurt Trunks, although
nothing could be proved. Grapes covered her tracks well, but everyone knew it
was her trying to kill Vegeta’s son, everyone but Vegeta.
The COM phone rang and Chichi jumped in fright at the sudden
noise before setting down Trunks and answering the phone, “Hello? Chichi here.”
“Chichi? Its Betty, I’ve been told to ring you and warn you that
the saiyan makes have gone into mating season…”
“WHAT!?” Chichi cut Betty off, fear making the back pf her neck
prickle, “When did this happen?”
“I…I don’t know…Thyme just yelled it at me as she flew past
before…she had two male saiyans after her, Chichi I…” Chichi heard Betty scream
down the other end of the line and she heard a smashing sound that could only
be glass breaking.
“Oh Great…” Chichi dropped the phone and quickly put Trunks back
into his crib, cautiously she looked outside a window but she couldn’t see any
saiyans as yet…but they would come.
Raditz had warned her a few days ago that it was getting close
to saiyan mating season, he had explained to her that once a year the saiyans
would go into some kind of lust induced mating frenzy, they would hunt down
females, fight with them and if they won could claim her as a mate. Chichi had
warned Chichi that if he went into saiyan mating season that he wouldn’t be
himself, he would see her only as a body and quite possibly he might
accidentally hurt her during the mating.
Chichi heard a sound outside the house and she froze, listening
with all her being, she heard it again, louder now, they were footsteps...
“Oh no…” Chichi ran for the back door as the front door was
blasted open and a strange saiyan stood their growling with red, bloodshot
eyes…
