Tien watched as Goku parked his jeep and hopped out, the usual broad, friendly grin on his face. Vegeta exited the jeep more slowly with a decidedly irate look on his face. Must have gotten dumped again. Tien guessed. Poor Vegeta never had much luck with the ladies; his temper usually scared them off. Besides that he had a soft spot for blondes who in turn always seemed to have soft spots for his money.

“Hey Tien.” Goku greeted him loudly, grinning as he gave him a quick friendly hug. “Everything’s all set for us to meet her?” His black eyes were as open as ever…but the shiftiness that was inherent in all cops eyes could be glimpsed beneath his ‘nice guy’ façade. Goku was always the nice cop and his attitude had conformed over the years to role.

“Yeah.” Tien murmured softly, shifting uncomfortably as he looked around for the red ribbon thugs who always seemed to be following him - on Eighteens orders of course. It was odd but for some reason he had a funny feeling that something was going to go wrong with their meeting today.

“Is she in there?” Goku asked with wide eyes, motioning towards the building behind in front of him. His eyes were wide with excitement and Tien was reminded of a kid in a candy store.

He shook his head, and scuffed his the toe of his shoe into the ground. “Nah, Lunch and Bulma are in there, Eighteen’s getting them to check you out.” He tried to not sound apprehensive but it was impossible to hide his emotions from two of his best friends.

“Bulma? Lunch? What utterly ridiculous names.” Vegeta scoffed. “They sound like idiots.” He crossed his arms in front of his chest and lent against the jeep, apparently completely at ease despite the fact that he was deep in enemy territory.

“Well, they’re not!” Tien snapped as he glared at Vegeta. “You’ll do well to watch yourself around them. Bulma is a goddamn genius with a photographic memory and Lunch is a damned ex-cop; she suffers from MP and got kicked off the force because of it. If you mess up around these two there gonna know.” Tien glared at Vegeta for a little longer – he knew of Vegeta’s liking for blondes and he was slightly apprehensive to introducing the highly sexed male to the blonde bombshell named Lunch.

“I wont mess up them.” Vegeta scowled and broke eye contact with Tien. “Can we just get this over with.” He straightened and dusted himself off, acting almost nervous.

Tien and Goku exchanged a look, both thinking that Vegeta was tightly wound and on edge. “Sure thing. Goku, remember to watch what you say - your story better be good by the way.” He began leading them towards the building where the two deadly women dwelt.

Goku nodded once then changed the subject. “What’s MP?” He asked, his eyes watching the dirtied window of the warehouse they were next to for any movement as they walked past.

“Multiple Personalities. I’ve only ever seen her as the nasty Lunch but apparently sometimes she turns into a lovable sweet natured gal.” Tien followed Goku’s gaze then looked back at him. “Like I said Goku, you’d better have a good story to tell these two about why you two turned bad.”

“We have a story and It’s passable.” Goku shrugged, and once again switched the subject. “Lead on.” He gestured to the doors ahead of them in a sweeping motion.

Tien led them into the abandoned warehouse and closed the large steel doors behind them with a clang. At first glance it appeared to be empty but a closer look showed two shadows sitting on a raised platform. One of them had shoulder length blue hair and piercing blue eyes; and was one of the most attractive women Goku had ever seen. She wore a yellow and red shirt with the words, ‘Capsule Corporation’ across the front and a bizarre pair of pants with two cross-draw holsters on either side of her hips. She gave Vegeta and Goku a curious glance then looked at Tien with a slight smile.

The other shadow wore a dark green skirt with knee high boots and a lime green tank top. She had thick curling blond hair tied back from her face with a red scarf. Her blue eyes were slightly deeper then the other woman’s, but Goku knew what the real difference in their eyes was, this blonde woman had cop eyes. The blonde ignored Tien and looked from Vegeta to Goku, her eyes taking in everything about them as if she were memorizing everything about them – which if she had been a cop, she probably was.

“I’m Lunch.” She stood up and extended a hand to Goku, which he shook, then she reached out and shook Vegeta’s hand.  There was a brief second in which Vegeta and Lunch’s eyes met and both of them experienced a very strong physical pull towards the other.

“I’m Bulma Briefs.” The blue haired woman grinned, apparently of a happier breed then the sombre faced Lunch. She shook Vegeta’s hand, looking into his eyes as if she found him familiar before turning and shaking Goku’s’ hand with great gusto. “It’s lovely to meet you two. Sorry the boss couldn’t be here, you’ll meet her later. For the time being we have to check you for bugs and wires, just in case you’re planning on ratting us out anytime soon.” Bulma grinned as though she didn’t think that this was very likely. Despite being armed to the teeth she looked like a perfectly lovely girl – the innocent girl next door you were proud to introduce to your parents as your date.

Lunch motioned for Vegeta to turn around then she patted him down, checking ever bit of loose clothing and tight clothing, even running her hands through his hair and checking the inside of his mouth. She didn’t appear to be suspicious of the cuff link on his wrist although she did dwell on checking him for bugs longer then Tien thought was necessary.

Bulma checked Goku, she didn’t seem to be as thorough as Lunch and she didn’t both to check his mouth and just ran a disinterested hand through his hair. She seemed bored by this, as though she had done this same thing a million times and was bored by it.

“So tell me.” Lunch sat back on the bench and crossed her long legs, glaring at Vegeta when he gave her an appreciative glance. “Why did you boys decided to become double crossing low lives and join our little family?” She rested her elbows on her knees and watched them through narrowly slitted eyes as Vegeta and Goku exchanged a look. Her eyes briefly hesitated on Vegeta and she frowned slightly again.

Vegeta glared right back at Lunch as though offended by her being offended by his look. “The captain of my section of the police stole my girl - again. I guess I’m a little mad about that.” Vegeta crossed his arms in a defensive movement which Lunch noted with a small nod.

She nodded and turned to Goku. “And you?”

Goku shrugged. “What can I say, I need money and my job doesn’t pay me enough.” He looked over at Bulma who was exchanging flirtatious looks with Tien.  “I don’t really care about the double crossing part as long as I’m getting well paid for it.” He shrugged as though he had long ago tossed his morals out the window and met Lunch’s curious gaze with his own hard cop eyes.

“Mmm, so we have one little man out for revenge and one big man who’s out for money.” She raised an eyebrow. “Well I think I can promise you both that if you are really loyal to the Red Ribbon gang we can get you anything you want be it revenge, money - you name it we can get.” She turned back to glare at Vegeta. “Of course it you double cross us it’s a different story. We don’t take kindly to family members turning on each other, so once you’re in you’re in and there’s no way back.”

“That’s cool.’ Goku grinned his friendly grin, Lunch glared back at him then turned back to scrutinize Vegeta.

“What about you little man? You in or do we have to shoot you here?” Lunch and Vegeta locked eyes and appeared to have some sort of invisible battle of spirit.

“I already said I was in didn’t I?” Vegeta drawled when Lunch finally looked away. “Besides I doubt very much if you’d be able to kill me.”

Goku inwardly winced at Vegeta’s cockiness; it was exactly this kind of talk that had gotten them into problems in the past.

Luckily Lunch just laughed. “Whatever you say little man.”

Bulma looked around at the group brightly. “So, we're taking ‘em to see Eighteen?” She looked slightly brighter and smiled happily.

Lunch gave Goku and Vegeta another commanding look and then nodded. “You take Goku and Tien in your car, and I’ll take Mr. Vegeta with me.” She turned to Vegeta one last time. “By the way, we couldn’t find a last name on your birth certificate, did you change your name or did your mother just give you the one name?”

“I’m like Cher and Madonna.” Vegeta chuckled nastily. “Just the one name.”

Lunch looked annoyed. “That’s weird you know.”

“I know.” Vegeta and Lunch stared at each other for a moment and Goku tried not to groan, he’d seen that look on Vegeta’s face before, it was that womanising look he got when he saw something he liked. What puzzled Goku was that Lunch was giving Vegeta and almost identical look and yet neither of them appeared to notice the others attention.

Tien and Bulma nudged Goku. “Let’s go man, they can catch up when they get over that little staring match they’re having.”

Goku followed Tien and Bulma out to her station wagon. “Uh, Miss Bulma?”

“Just Bulma.” She corrected. “And yes?”

“What about my jeep?” Goku pointed at his gleaming car.

Bulma shrugged. “I’ll get someone to take care of it for you.”

Goku broke out into a grin and began to babble. “That’s great because I LOVE that car! I mean some people only pretend to like their cars but I really do love that car, it’s like…”

“Goku?” Tien interrupted with a frown. “Shut up.”
