Bulma
paused as Chichi licked her face, too shocked to do or say anything. It was an unpleasant
sensation. Indeed it felt more pleasant then many of the sensations that Bulma
had once enjoyed. She could feel Chichi’s power, the sense of what made her a
wolf, seeping into her body through the cut. Bulma forgot everything as Chichi’s
tongue swept over the cut again, cleansing it and willing it to heal.
“Chi…?”
Bulma managed to find her voice and Chichi slowly pulled away after giving her
cheek one last nuzzle.
“I
was doing nought my queen…just trying to take away some of the pain…and some of
the smell of the beastly human who dared lay a hand upon you.” Chichi pulled
away, her eyes slightly embarrassed. She swept her black hair back from her
face, yawned and stood up, flashing Bulma a grin as she extended a hand down to
help her up. “I don’t know what came over me…it was as though…I don’t know.”
Chichi shrugged.
Bulma
clasped her hand and allowed herself to be lifted from the ground, “That’s okay…I
believe it may have been me who willed you to do it. Everything is so new to me…I
feel like there’s a strange new person inside of me.” Bulma managed to grin
back. Chichi squeezed her hand and together the two fey turned and began
jogging towards the border where Lord Kendal lay. Moving as though they were
the same being, still acutely in tune with each other.
“Wow…”
Vegeta’s jaw dropped and he dragged himself away from the viewing pool, “I
could have been mistaken…the image in the pool is very unclear…but I think
Chichi just kissed Bulma.” The king of the fey blinked his eyes and then looked
back into the pool again.
Goku
shot out of his chair and raced up, “She did? Why didn’t you call me? Oh…man I
can’t believe I missed that! Do you think do it again?”
“I
don’t know…but they might…” Vegeta and Goku sat down to watch the fuzzy picture
through the viewing pool, both of them desperately hoping to see the two women
kiss.
“Aren’t
you supposed to be researching Bulma’s new powers?” When the two women began
jogging through the forest again and it became clear that no more girl on girl
action was coming Goku sank back and watched his king.
“I’ve
gone through any book which is supposed to give information – none are very
clear.” Vegeta watched the pool idly,
his irritation on not being able to find any extra information of what would
become of Bulma very obvious.
“Have
you tried asking the doctor?
“Huh?”
Vegeta frowned at her companion.
“The
doctor – as in the extremely old doctor who was a close friend of your parents
and can probably tell you exactly what to expect from Bulma?” Goku rolled his
eyes. “He’s the first person I would have asked. He’s the most ancient of the
fey…”
“My
god! Why didn’t I think of that?” Vegeta slapped his forehead and bared his
teeth. “Sometimes Goku, I think you’re smarter then you let on.”
“Do
we have a plan on how to do this?” Bulma whispered as they watching yet another
patrolling guard walk past.
“Hey,
don’t ask me! This was your revenge mission, not mine.” Chichi shifted
uncomfortably next to Bulma, wishing that her queen would allow her to kill the
patrolling men. The wolf inside of her itched to feel flesh and blood inside it’s
mouth.
“Okay
then…we sneak in, that shouldn’t be too hard and we find lord Kendal…then we
kill him.”
“That’s
the plan? No offence but it stinks.” Chichi rolled her eyes and Bulma snarled
at her, pulling her lips away to expose her fangs. The queen inside of her
wanting to punish her friend for such insolence.
“If
you have a better idea I’d like to hear it…”
“I
have a plan ladies, perhaps you’d like to hear it?”
Bulma
and Chichi froze as the voice spoke up from behind them, slowly they turned
around to face a patrol of ten guards, among them one of the men who Bulma had
knocked out.
“Great.”
Chichi sighed as the men advanced on them, weapons drawn. “I told you we should
have killed them.”
“I
told you we should have killed them.” Chichi told Bulma again as she pulled on
the chains, which bound her to the dungeon wall and snarled at it when they
didn’t break – but then they were iron and she hadn’t really expected them to
simply give way.
“Well
you’re the one who kept whispering in the bushes, maybe if you’d kept quiet
they wouldn’t have found us.” Bulma sank dejectedly to the ground, “Oh! What
does it matter whose fault it was? Were both stuck here and in the morning when
the sun rises were both going to be dead.”
Bulma
frowned as she head something whisper inside of her head.
“What
was that?” Chichi sounded frightened.
“You
heard it to?”
“Heard?
I felt something…something strong and old…”
“You
don’t remember your mother’s powers?” The doctor shook his head and sighed. “Oh
Vegeta…”
“Don’t
you mean ‘Lord Vegeta’ or ‘King Vegeta’?” Vegeta snarled at the doctors
condescending tone.
“I
mean what I said, boy!” The doctor frowned at Vegeta, who he still considered
to be young. “Fey Queens have always been somewhat secretive about their
powers, which is the reason why there’s almost no information about them. The
human legends about them are the most accurate – fey queens can be-spell humans
as easily as you and I breath. They can change their form using glamour to make
themselves more attractive. Fey queens do promote fertility – your mother’s
effect on the underground was legendary. The fey never had a population boom
such as the one they had under her leadership…”
“But
what of the queens being able to summon all of their subjects?” The king ran a
hand through his hair as he imagined Bulma be-spelling human men and bringing
them back to the underworld.
“Oh
that’s only the half of it.” The old doctor shook his head. “Queens have a much
stronger link to nature then we men do – they can summon any creature that has
ties to magic. Not just dark elves but any of the creatures that dwell in
shadow – of course Vegeta, what you must remember is that it is you who
can summon your queen.”
“I
don’t understand…”
“The
queens are the real power in the underworld. They have access to majiks which
you do not, but your queen, despite being able to call all creatures together
at once, is always going to be able to be controlled by you. The queens may
have the power, but it is the king who has control.”
Vegeta’s
frown was slowly fading. ”Why wasn’t I told about this as a child? I would have
chosen a queen sooner…”
The
doctor shook his head and smiled. “You had to fall in love – the stronger the
relationship between the king and queen the stronger the kingdom will become. You
hear tales of the old kings and queens who married young to establish power but
would then kidnap young men and women to take as their lovers – they started
wars and left the underground open to attacks. Your forbears decided to just
stay silent about the whole thing.” The doctor patted Vegeta on the back. “Don’t
worry, I’ll chat to your new wife when she returns.”
Bulma
frowned as the whisper swept around her again. “I don’t think it’s something else
that’s in hear with us…I think it’s something inside of me.” Bulma listened as
it got louder. She reached out a tentative mental strand and the whisper ran up
it with an electrical tingle, snaking into Bulma’s mind.
“Bulma…are
you okay?” Chichi watched in disbelief as Bulma’s fey features slowly sunk into
her face and were replaced with her old human ones. She could still feel Bulma’s
fey power…only she no longer looked to be what she was. “What’s happening to
you? You look mortal again!”
“I
don’t feel mortal…I feel strange…” Bulma felt the power trickle inside of her
were stayed, whispering quietly to itself.
“Stop
the chatter!” One of the guards clanged his sword against the bars on the cell door.
Footsteps sounded and the guards unlocked the door, it swung open and Lord
Kendal swept into the room, an escort of five guards with him.
“So,
if it isn’t the little harlot herself.” Lord Kendal walked over to Bulma and laughed
as he stared down at her. Oh, and this must be your little fey friend…oh now
she is pretty.” He reached down and stroked Chichi’s face, she looked defiantly
up at him and then she smiled and sank her teeth into his hand.
“Don’t
touch me mortal!” She spat at him and looked away as if the site of him would
poison her.
“You
will regret that, slut!” Lord Kendal kicked Chichi in the side and moved away,
“Guards take the two if them into my chambers. I intend to have my fun with
them tonight, and then on the morrow we will leave them outside and the sun
will take care of them for us.” The guards nodded and Kendal turned and strode
from the room, pausing a minute to throw Bulma a lust filled look.
Neither
Bulma nor Chichi bothered to put up much of a fight as the guards unchained
them and marched them towards a chamber, on the way Bulma spotted the Lady
Kendal who looked small and withered, as if the curse Vegeta had put upon the
land had taken its tole on her. She looked at Chichi and Bulma both and slowly
shook her head, almost as if she pitied them.
The
guards opened the chamber door and unceremoniously threw them inside the door,
then with a few derogatory comments and much laughter they locked the door and
their footsteps faded away as they left Bulma and Chichi alone in the chamber
to await Lord Kendal.
“Bulma!
What do we do?” Chichi turned to face her and pointed to the windows, which
were barred with iron bars, “How do we get out of this!” A tear escaped
Chichi’s eye and for the first time Bulma realised just how afraid Chichi was,
not only of her fate, but simply how afraid she was of humans as a whole.
Bulma
walked to the bed and sank down, “I have no idea how to get away…but…Lord
Kendal cannot take us both at the same time…eventually one of us will get a
chance to take him out.” Bulma looked at the floor and stood up quickly as she
heard the heavy footsteps of Lord Kendal approaching.
The
door swung open and for a second he was framed in the doorway then he stepped
inside his face leering as he stared at Chichi and Bulma.
“I’ve
always wanted to bed a Fey.” He took a step forward and reached behind himself
to close the door, “I never thought I’d get the chance…but here we are.” He
reached for Chichi who screamed as he pulled her in close to him, his hand
running up and down her body, exploring the curves she had, “Now, now, be a
good girl and you might live to actually die tomorrow.” He laughed at his own
lame joke and threw Chichi on the bed, unbuttoning his shirt as he advanced
upon her.
Bulma
looked around for something to hurt him with and her gaze fell upon the candle
stick which rested by the door, she raced for it and just as her hand closed
about it she head Chichi scream. She turned around to find Lord Kendal
straddling her, struggling with Chichi as he tried to force her to let him take
off her shirt. Bulma gave a growl and leapt at him, bringing the candlestick
down on his head as hard as she could. Lord Kendal was still for a second and
then ever so slowly he crumpled down onto Chichi who moaned in disgust and
shoved him to one side and she jumped up.
“Kill
him! He must die!” Chichi shrieked like a possessed woman and kicked Lord
Kendal. She took the candlestick off Bulma and started to beat him with it,
each thud of the lead candlestick a nail in his coffin until Chichi let the
candlestick fall from her numb fingers and collapsed near the dead body of Lord
Kendal.
“I
hate humans…I hate them…” She whispered as she wrapped arms around herself,
Bulma quietly came up beside her and pulled Chichi into her arms.
“Its
okay Chi, he’s dead, he can’t hurt you.” She gently kissed Chichi’s forehead
and held her tightly not even flinching when the chamber doors burst inwards
and two people stepped inside. Bulma slowly looked up at them, for a second she
stared in shock, then her mouth formed an ‘o’ of surprise as she recognised
Guard Piccolo and Lady Kendal.
“Oh
thank God…he’s dead.” Lady Kendal laughed in an oddly mad way and she turned to
look at the two fey who held each other on the floor near her husband’s body.
“Come
on Bulma. We have to get you out of here.” Piccolo gave her a reassuring smile
and pulled her to her feet, taking Chichi from her.
