The cold tears shivered down Marron's cheeks, though they were hidden by the black veil in front of her face. She knew the people around her could tell she was crying, though, for every now and again a strangled sob would escape from her throat.

"She was a great women, though not many had a chance to find that out. She was so beautiful, and when she smiled... when she smiled, you felt happy too." Her father said in a quiet, depressed voice as the coffin was lowered down into the ground. "I know I'll never forget her, and I hope none of you will."

The coffin made a soft noise as it settled onto the bottom of the hole - wet mud now littering the painted design on the outside of it - and she saw her father's head look down and watch it through tear filled eyes.

Though her mother and father had divorced each other over three years ago, Krillin still cherished and loved the beautiful android. He had loved her from the day he first met her to the day she died, and now she could tell that her father's heart was being wrenched apart.

Her mother had started having an affair with Vegeta, the arrogant Saiyan prince, 5 years ago today - though Marron did not know why, or if it was love or pure lust. Bulma had found out a year after Vegeta and 18 had started seeing each other, and had gone and told Krillin before shooting herself right in front of the shocked and upset man.

Marron thought that the sight of Bulma killing herself in front of him hurt her father more than the knowledge of what her mother and Vegeta had been doing together.

Although Krillin didn't want to, he divorced 18 a week after Bulma committed suicide. He thought it was the proper thing to do, and after the divorce, Vegeta and 18 were able to tell everyone about their affair, and about how much they loved each other.

To say the least, Marron was shocked - but Bra and Trunks were just plain angry.

Angry? They weren't angry - they were enraged. They wanted to kill the android and their father. This little affair had been the cause of their mother's death, and they knew she could never be brought back. Marron couldn't even imagine the pain they felt, but she knew it must have been something like she was feeling right now.

Marron knew how much the death of their mother must have hurt them, even before the death of her own, so she tried to comfort her best friend, Bra, in her hour of dire grief. No matter how much Marron tried, Bra just got more and more depressed with every passing day.

Eventually she took her own life.

Trunks didn't take the whole news of the affair and his mother's death as hard as his little sister, and even after Bra's death, he was able to retain a small amount of happiness. He had married Goten, and the two were able to get through their sorrows together.

The two men stood to the left of Marron, expressions blank, and when she glanced over at the couple, Goten tried to force a smile. Marron felt a small amount of happiness because of this, and then all three turned their gaze back to the burial.

They watched dazedly as the grave was covered, dirt and mud and pebbles falling over the coffin and engulfing it into the ground. It didn't seem real... more like something in a movie than Marron's own life. It seemed like a blurred memory of something seen before.

Not many people were there to witness the funeral either. There was her, Goten, Trunks, Gohan, Pan, Krillin, and Vegeta. That was all.

...Vegeta...

Marron often wondered how the tough, arrogant man was taking her mother's death. If it was as badly as she was, she was afraid for him.

She was even afraid for herself nowadays. With the death of her best friend two years ago, and the death of her mother merely a week ago, she had become quite depressed. At this point, she doubted anything would make her feel better.

Marron watched in horror as the hole was completely filled. Her mother... they just buried her mother... She'd never see her again. She never even got to tell her how much she loved her before she died.

It finally seemed real to her.

Fresh tears formed in the blonde's eyes, and she sank to her knees - letting herself cry fully for the first time in weeks.

She hated herself for being so weak. She hated herself for hurting so much.

She slammed one clenched fist into the muddy ground beneath her, cold tears snaking their way down her face and dripping onto the ground. The tears immediately disappeared into the soft, soaked dirt, and new ones kept falling.

Cry... I'll cry for you...

Marron heard the sound of someone blasting off into the air as she continued to sob, and she really didn't care. It was probably Vegeta, and if it wasn't him, it didn't make any difference.

She just wanted to die, then and there. She didn't care about life anymore. She didn't want to take another breath of chilled, lifeless air.

Death is sweeter than life, if the pain is this great. The sweet bitterness of death, the sweet bitterness of life. It was all so fake and blurry to her.

It was just a thin line between dream and reality.

The feel of a gentle hand on her shoulder snapped her back to attention, and she tried to ignore the pain she felt as she rose from the ground - tears still welling in her blue eyes.

Without another word or thought, she flew off into the gray skies - and as soon as she had gotten far enough away from the cemetery - she stopped in midair.

Floating... Floating in the memories and pain...

Her eyes blinked shut, and she concentrated her mind on Vegeta. She could feel him moving north. So he had been the one who left.

...I can learn from you... Help me breathe... Please, help me breathe...

Marron's eyes flickered open again, and she turned to her right before flying off at full speed towards the moving ki.

For once, she was happy that her mother had taught her a few little fighting tricks before she had died. Marron had thought knowing how to detect a persons life force was useless and as stupid as learning how to throw a punch - which she also knew how to do - but now it proved to be useful. Very useful.

Perhaps knowing how to kick and punch would come in handy someday as well...

Marron shrugged mentally and pushed a stray hair behind her ear, only to have it whip right back in her face. Not that it mattered to her.

Her make-up was smudged, salty trails still clung to her cheeks, her hair was a mess... but she didn't care. She didn't care about anything at this point. She just wanted to talk to someone, to talk to someone who knew.

Who knew more about her mother than she ever had or would know.

She wanted to talk to Vegeta...the one her mother truly loved. The one person in the world who held the key to open her mother's heart. The one who had made her love.

...Or so she hoped.

If he was not what she had thought, and just a mindless affair, she would turn around and go to her apartment. Then she would sit, or cry some more. She would just wallow in her own self pity and sadness, never being sure of anything.

She needed this information, this hope... this comfort, that Vegeta could bring just from a few simple words about her mother that she didn't already know. She pleaded with all her heart that he could help her.

Suddenly, she felt Vegeta come to a halt and then felt his ki diminish completely, and she stopped her flight.

Hovering in the air, she looked about her in confusion.

Did he know she was following him?

He had either seen her... or he had felt her presence.

Marron cursed silently at herself for forgetting to hide her power. Now how would she find him?

A tap on the shoulder caused her to cringe, 'Looks like he found me first...'

The blonde turned around and saw who she thought she would see... the noble Saiyan prince. His arms were crossed and his brows were furrowed, giving him a tough look even though he was in a black suit instead of his normal fighting clothes.

"Why were you following me, woman?" Vegeta snarled, and he looked at her in distaste.

Marron felt a heat rise in her cheeks, and she could tell by the odd way Vegeta was looking at her that she was blushing.

Subconsciously, she tipped her head down - trying to hide the rouge that covered her cheeks, "I... I was..."

"Following you." The Saiyan said, finishing the younger girl's sentence. She nodded her head gently, obviously embarrassed by Vegeta's words.

"I wanted to talk to you about..." Marron said softly, voice trailing off at the end.

"About what?" Vegeta snapped.

"About... my mother." Marron whispered, feeling tears begin to form in her eyes.

She looked up at him pleadingly, and saw that he too had melancholy present in his features. The way his lips curved into a frown, and the way his dark eyes shone with sadness... It was all too obvious.

"Will you?" The girl asked again. Questioning. Hoping.

Vegeta nodded, "...Come."

...Thank you...

He then grabbed her hand and began to lead her through the skies, and they soon landed on an island to the east of where they had been.

It was desolate, small, and seemingly untouched by man. The only thing that was on the barren land - besides wild grass, weeds, and pebbles - was a small pond, a boulder, and a few trees. They were pine, and the smell was wonderful.

Marron couldn't help but be awed by the beauty of this foreign place. This truly wonderful place.

After a short breathless moment, she spoke.

"How did you find it?" Marron quizzed, looking up at the man curiously.

"Your mother and I used to come here..." Vegeta responded, moving his eyes from her to try and hide the sadness it brought to him.

The girl kicked at a pebble on the ground, regretting asking the question, "Oh..."

With out another word, Vegeta walked over to the large rock that lay near the edge of the pond and sat down. He picked up a flat, smooth pebble from the ground and threw it out into the pond, and she watched as it skipped three times before sinking down into the water.

She could feel his sadness.

Without another hesitation, Marron walked over to where he was and sat down on the ground, legs crossed and hands folded in her lap.

He threw another rock.

"You loved my mother a lot, right?" Marron inquired, and saw Vegeta's fists form into balls.

"Yes... yes I did." He said, eyes shutting tightly for a brief moment before they snapped open again. Another stone was hurled from his hand and into the pond.

She could feel his anger.

"Could you... could you tell me more about her?"

"How would I know more about her than you? You're her daughter." Vegeta spat.

"I... I thought..." Marron stuttered, looking up at the angry man.

"You thought wrong!" Vegeta said viciously, "We were in love. She was a great woman. What else can I tell you?!"

"I..." She felt tears beginning to fall from her eyes, "I... I..."

Marron felt the tears coming steadily now, sobs escaping from her throat.

I thought you could save me... I thought you would help...

A silence followed, the only noise being that of Marron's crying.

"Please... don't cry..." Vegeta said softly, climbing off the rock and squatting down to her level. "I... I'm sorry."

He reached out his right had and used it to brush the hair from her face, and then found it resting softly on her cheek, "I'm sorry."

They looked into each other's eyes for a brief moment, but the silence was soon broken.

"It hurts so much!" Marron cried, throwing arms around Vegeta's neck - causing them both to fall backwards and onto the ground. The girl buried her head into Vegeta's shoulder, much to his shock. He wasn't shocked that she did it, he was just shocked that he liked it.

Liked it...

They lay there for a while. She cried her heart out, and he smoothed her hair and whispering gentle comforts in her ear. They just enjoyed each other's comforting presence in this time of sorrow.

"It's alright... I'm here..." Vegeta whispered again. He heard Marron sniffle as she pulled her head away from his shoulder.

"I'm sorry...I don't mean to... to..." She said sadly, turning her gaze from his eyes to the ground.

He grabbed hold of her chin gently and turned her head to face him again, "Don't be."

Slowly, Marron's head moved forward, until their noses brushed against each other.

"Thank you." She whispered, and with those last words their lips met.

Softly.

Gently.

Smoothly.

The feel of flesh against flesh - of warmth against warmth - made Marron moan against her own will. It ignited sparks within her. It made her eager.

...It made her beg for more.

A hand against the back of her neck pulled Marron deeper into the kiss - tongues now interlocking and mashing against one another in the heated embrace. One petite hand trailed up Vegeta's chest as they kissed, earning a primitive growl from deep in his throat.

Marron loved it, and despite her whimpers of protest, Vegeta pulled his lips away from her own.

I'll do anything for you... Just stay here with me...

"Is this what you want?" He questioned breathlessly, lips beginning to make wet trails down her neck and to her shoulder.

Marron groaned, head rolling back and eyes shutting tight, "God yes."

After the words had been said, he used one swift movement to flip Marron over and straddle her. Quickly, he slipped one hand behind her back and grabbed hold of the zipper on her dress, and slowly he began to pull it down. Teasing her. Making her arch her back off the ground in a silent plea.

Once the back of the dress was unzipped, and the torture was done with, he was able to pull in off easily. The girl laying before him was beautiful - clad only in underwear, a lacy bra, and black high heels.

She looked like an angel. A dark angel with corn-silk hair and passion glazed eyes.

...She looked like her mother.

A pang of guilt moved through him as he unsnapped the front of her bra, but all thoughts disappeared from his mind when Marron's hands began to roam over his chest again - feeling the curves of his smooth muscles. They were almost immediately removed, though, along with his jacket.

After Marron had tossed the jacket to the side, she shrugged off her bra - leaving her plump, rounded breasts naked to the eye.

Oh, this was much worth the removal of her hands from his chest...

Vegeta let out a purr as he leaned forward - nipping at the creamy pools of flesh lightly before he began suckling on her right nipple. He loved the sound of the moans coming from her mouth and the way she panted with arousal. He loved every bit of it.

Without another thought he switched his mouth to the other tight, hard nub.

...She was delicious... She was his... All his...

Marron hurriedly - and clumsily - unbuttoned his shirt, before pulling it off of him ...finally revealing his hard, silky muscles. As their lips met once again, one of Marron's hands trailed down Vegeta's body and soon found itself resting on the waistband of his pants. Moaning as she broke the kiss, Marron quickly unbuttoned them and pulled down the zipper, a shaky hand moving into his pants and stroking him through the thin cloth of his boxers.

It was amazing - the different cries and moans she could force from him just from her careful ministrations.

...And how painfully aroused she was getting just from pleasuring him.

As if in answer to her unspoken thoughts, Vegeta grabbed hold of Marron's wrist and pulled her hand away from him, despite the sheer pleasure she had been giving him and how near he was to release.

In a dazed instant, Vegeta's remaining clothing was removed, along with Marron's panties and shoes. She shuddered despite herself as the cold wind poured over her naked flesh, and she breathed in heavy pants - waiting for him to take her.

Waiting for him to stop this teasing and torture, and fuck her raw.

"My sweet..." Vegeta whispered in Marron's ear before entering her in one swift motion, and he earned a loud cry of pleasure from the unsuspecting girl beneath him. He continued to pound into her - Marron pushing her hips upward to meet his thrusts - and both were moaning exquisitely as the friction built between them.

Various words of pleasure slipped out of Marron's mouth as he continued to pleasure her greatly, and then, suddenly, everything around her dissolved into a searing white pleasure.

A wonderful, wonderful pleasure.

"Vegeta!! Vegeta!!!!!!" She cried out, head tossing back and forth as she climaxed - screaming his name at the top of her lungs. Vegeta slammed into her once more before reaching his as well, and his luscious cum was released within her body with a soft groan.

He collapsed on top of her - breathing heavy and pleasure filled - and began to mumble her mother's name softly in her ear.

Not her name. Her mother's.

Immediately, Marron froze, and all she could hear was the hollow sound of his heart beat ringing in her ears as she gasped for air.

The taste of poison in delicious wine,
A sour grape on a lovely vine.

...You are my sweet bitterness.

The End
