• History: Kivan was born in Faerun. Not much is known of what happened to Kivan before he joined Abdel's Party during Abdel's first adventure, but he has mentioned his past lover, who was killed by ogres. Thus, he hates ogres more than anything. At one point, Kivan had heard of bandits stealing iron from people due to the iron shortage in the Sword Coast and northern Amn, and had decided to go bandit hunting. While in the High Hedge area of the Sword Coast, west of Beregost, he ran into Abdel and his band of adventurers, who were also interested in the iron shortage, and were heading towards Nashkel in northern Amn. Due to their goals being similar, Kivan joined the party, which ended up going from investigating iron shortages to having to stop Sarevok, Abdel's half brother, from starting a huge war between the Sword Coast and Amn. After the battle with Sarevok underneath Baldur's Gate, Kivan's bandit hunting was done, and he said his good-byes and left the party. Afterwards, Kivan ran into the party again, and he was given a new bow. Sometime after, Kivan was walking along in the woods, when suddenly, he saw a bright flash of light, and found himself in a place called Gigan Village. It was there he had spent the next few weeks learning of the surrounding areas, like Roostville. Soon after Roostville had disappeared, Kivan met RadoGoji, who was wandering out in the field outside the village. Kivan mistakened him for Abdel at first, but found out that he was only partially right. Rado was Abdel reborn, and needed help to get to Monsterzeroville. Kivan helped him get there, where they ran into Mephistophelian, who had soon left. After reuniting with Minsc and Boo, Kivan was inducted into Rado's organization, the RMB Mercenary Service. After discussing the transpired events, Kivan watched as RadoGoji (in the persona of Abdel) killed Sarevok once again. Kivan then went with the others back to Monsterzeroville, where he helped fight Mephisto's army. After Rado and Abdel split up, Kivan joined Minsc and Boo on patrol, then later picked up Rado and Abdel after they fought and defeated the Black Fire Rodan Warrior. When the team spotted the newly restored Roostville, they joined up with the collection of mods, Dark Lords, and others. Kivan later helped fend off untold numbers of cyborg-hybrid Rodan babies, and witnessed the explosion set off by the Universal Bridge and Mephisto. Unfortunately, the Bridge set off a space-time distorting shockwave, which hit the RMBs and Aqualla, sending them to Faerun. After awakening from unconsiousness for three months in Faerun, the team went north to Baldur's Gate. However, Minsc was drugged and kidnapped and Kivan went with Abdel and Angillis to Nashkel to find an ingredients for an antidote, and Kivan found himself a new halberd (which Angillis later unsuccessfully tried to sell). Afterwards, the team went to Firewine Bridge, where Kivan spotted the opening to the cavern where Minsc was being held, and were faced with a dragon, who was killed by a man named Ryuujin. After the whole ordeal was over, the team made it to Baldur's Gate, where they took a ship to Scaraba in Rasheman (wasting a giant squid on the way). Kivan stayed at the berserker lodge to research weapons while Rado and Aqualla went after Ryuujin. After their return, Kivan and the gang went on a ship to Icewind Dale to find the Fang of Baelin, but were caught by surprise when they found the town of Easthaven deserted, as Sarevok had beaten them there, and had slaughtered a majority of the townspeople. The RMBs then took an opportunity to head for the Severed Hand, and met Sarevok on the way, slowing him down. Kivan is now with the rest of the RMB party in a tunnel underneath the Severed Hand, where the Fang of Baelin rests.

  After returning to Roostville from Faerun, Kivan, as a member of the RMB Mercenary Service, got an apartment at Random Arms, next door to Rado and Minsc, and rooming with Ryuujin. Due to the lack of customers the Service had been getting, Kivan decided to get a job in retail at the local Best Buy (coincedentally, taking the late Chris Glinski's place).
• Friends and Aquaintances: Kivan is pretty much a loner. The only real friend he's ever had was his lover, who was killed by an ogre in Faerun. Of the friends he has now, being RadoGoji, Minsc, Boo, Aqualla, Abdel, Ryuujin, and Yeslick, he is amiable towards them, but doesn't talk much, and keeps to himself. He is quite annoyed with the presence of Angillis 333, who just seems to be with the group since he is also from Roostville.
