What is "Dragonball Z" about?

Dragonball Z is the logical sequel to Dragon Ball. Where Dragon Ball introduced us to Goku and his friends and enemies, Dragonball Z is mainly about the way Goku grows stronger. In Dragonball Z, Goku becomes Super Saiyan, 1, 2 and 3 and proves to be the strongest being in the universe. In the first episode of DBZ, Goku's brother Radditz comes to pay a visit. Radditz quicly reveals that he and Goku are part of a warrior race called the Saiyans and that Goku is to come with him to join him and the other two Saiyans, the only survivors of their home planet. Goku refuses, and his son Gohan is taken hostage by Radditz. With the help of Piccolo, Radditz is beaten. The other two Saiyans come to take Eath's Dragonballs and wish for immortality. The kill nearly every single warrior on the planet, but a renewed Goku barely manages to stop Vegeta, the strongest one of the two. Nappa is destroyed by Vegeta and Vegeta leaves the planet, but swears he will come back for revenge. After that, the warriors travel to Piccolo's home planet Namek to use the Namekian Dragonballs to wish back their friends. There are many hardships in the way, but the biggest one is: Frieza. Frieza is an incredible strong being who wants the Dragonballs for him self. During the battle with Frieza, Goku reaches the level of a Super Saiyan and defeats Frieza. Next, a young warrior from the future comes to warn Goku and the other warriors for a great danger that lies ahead. This young warrior is Trunks, the son of Bulma and Vegeta. And Trunks is right. This time Cell, an enemy made of the DNA of all Earh's heroes, comes to destroy Earth. During this battle, Gohan goes mad and powers up to a Super Saiyan 2. Cell is defeated by Gohan. The final foe is Majin Buu, some sort of demon summoned by Badibee. Buu changes from form an endless times, but is finnaly defeated when Goku uses all of his power in his Super Spirit Bomb.
