Allie and Kate's Sign Sprees
You can call us evil, bored, or even pathetic, but at least let me justify why this sign is in my room instead of someone's yard.

Anyone who's taken driver's ed, or the written test before getting their driver's license knows that all residental roads have the speed limit of 25mph. Anyone who's lived in a residental neighborhood is taught since the time that they learn how to walk by their parents, teachers, and even school policemen not to walk or play in the street. So, if both the written law, and the common law are being followed, the meaning behind this sign is null and void.

But the kicker behind this sign is that we took it from a circle (I'm not sure what people call them other places, but it's a street in the shape of a key hole, where the street is rounded off, and there are houses in a circle, and you go out the same place where you came in). The sign was placed more towards the exit side of the loop, which really doesn't make any sense. If you have these streets in your area, you know that it's almost impossible to fly around them any faster than 25mph, otherwise you begin to loose control of the wheel, or even in the case of some cars, it begins to fell like it's going to flip on it's side. So driving 25mph in a circle is more common sense than anything. The people that drive in it don't need to be told to drive 25mph because the laws of gravity and physics already tell them to do that.

Therefore, it was justified for us to yoink the sign because it didn't serve a purpose other than to give it's owner a false sense of saisfation because they thing that they are doing their part to save kids, but really, they are just wasting the sign by putting it some place where it would get no use. Whereas, if my sister and I put it in our rooms, we would spread the message by word of mouth because after all, we do live in the suburban midwest. The high school and local establishments are better sources of news than our own newspaper.
