Black Lady

    In the R season, SailorMoon and the other senshi traveled to Crystal Tokyo with ChibiUsa, in order to finally defeat the Black Moon family and restore peace and beauty to the city. During their stay, the Death Phantom, the evil advisor of the Black Moon family,was able to lure ChibiUsa into a trap with false sympathy. He carefully altered the memories of two past events involving ChibiUsa's parents and the senshi. ChibiUsa became convinced that she was never loved by anyone. As the Death Phantom played with small lady's mind, so did ChibiUsa's feelings change. As her sadness transforned into vengeance, she unaturally sprouted into a woman, and began to devote herself to teaming up with the Black Moon and destroying the lives of the ones who had abandoned her. Thus she took the name of Black Lady.

   As Black Lady battled the sailor senshi in present Tokyo, Usagi realized that the evil soldier was in fact her own daughter, ChibiUsa. Although Black Lady proved a worthy adversary, SailorMoon and Tuxedo Kamen were able to awaken the truth. They transformed into Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion as Black Lady created a black hole that would kill both the senshi and herself. Serenity and Endymion recalled the time it was raining in Crystal Tokyo, and the royal family was taking a walk. ChibiUsa's parents warned her not to run, but she did so anyways, and fell. They explained that they did not help her up, because if they did, she would grow up selfish and dependent. Black Lady then realized the love her parents and the others had for her, and she changed back to small lady in the arms of Usagi.

  You might wonder why I would include this predicament as an important turning point in ChibiUsa's life. The truth is, whether it is remembered or not, Black Lady served as an alter ego for small lady, portraying her strongest of powers and emotions, combining both so that even the senshi were nothing compared to her. It is in this sense that there was a real amount of ChibiUsa in Black Lady, but enough negative energy to create something unspeakable. However, it was a big piece to her growth, as she discovered the importance of her life.
