ChibiUsa Grows

ChibiUsa grows and changes often throughout  BSSM. I've always looked at this trait as a symbol of the pink one's rapid and expressive nature ... you'll notice that the other sailor senshi don't change a lot in personality or appearance, but the rabbit is full of surprises.

   In Season R, the second season to the SailorMoon saga, ChibiUsa's age ranges to about 5 yaers old. In other words, very kawaii and huggable! This is the season where ChibiUsa gains the trademark for unbearableness. It's true that small lady is often times cranky and disrespectful, with all the trouble back at home. But her true-blue character and maturity shine through.

  In S and SS, ChibiUsa is about 10 years old. She obviously changed in height from her appearance in R, and her hair is longer and her bunny odango are larger. Not to mention there is a great change in her personality. She becomes a senshi and befriends the lonely Hotaru. Definitely kawaii still, and very ardent and mature. One thing I've always liked about ChibiUsa is that she's much smarter than Usagi, but shares the same characteristics and prone clumsiness. :->

   ChibiUsa often has accelerated age changes. In SS, Pegasus allowed she and Usagi to do an age switch, where Usagi grew younger and ChibiUsa became a teen. She was immediately excited for Helios to see her new form. She also becomes an adult when Wiseman transforms her into Black Lady in R.

  In the manga, ChibiUsa took the appearance of a young child but was astoundedly 900 years old. It was explained that everyone reached a certain age and stopped growing after that, as Neo-Queen Serenity stopped aging at 22. Poor ChibiUsa was made fun of by her friends who grew up into adults without her. (Please verify me on this if I'm wrong.)
