Veliraf's Ariel
Sire:Veliraf's Rijo Dam: Veilraf's Ibri DOB - September 25, 1999 Colour - Black Otter Weight - 2 pounds 2 ounces
Ariel has 1 leg to her grand championship, she decided to develop a dewlap, so she was retired to the breeding pen. Her most recent litter, in September, she produced a little chestnut buck who look like he is going to be very handsome. I look forward to showing him in the spring.. |
Veliraf's Betty
Sire: Veliraf's Barney Dam: Veliraf's Lucy DOB - October 8, 1998 Colour - Tortoise Shell Weight - 2.05
Betty only took 2 months to finish up her grand championship. She has not had a litter in some time, but I'm hoping to be able to breed her in the near future. |
Rosie's Blueberry
Sire: Rosie's OJ Dam: Rosie's Toni DOB - March 2, 1997 Colour - Blue Otter Weight - 2.07
Blueberry has never been shown, although she should have been. Her daughter Telina finished her grand championship in about 4 shows, and her latest litter in July, consisted of a single black buck, who looks like he is going to be very flashy! |
Veliraf's Telina
Sire: Veliraf's Rijo Dam: Rosie's Blueberry DOB - October 22, 1998 Colour - Chestnut Weight - 2 pounds 2 ounces
Telina finished her grand championship very quickly and was retired to the breeding pen, In her first litter she produced a stunning opal doe, Kaluna, and her second litter she produced a very nice black otter doe, Gypsy. Telina is a great example of a show doe who can be an EXCELLENT brood doe. |
Veliraf's Poppin
Sire: Reardon's Albert Dam: Grove's White Lace DOB - June 26, 1998 Colour - Black Himalayan Weight - 2 pounds 8 ounces
Poppin was supposed to be a show doe, but I decided to breed her. She produced a live litter of two babies. Her condition was so good after producing a litter that I decided to show her again. She quickly recieved her grand championship, and now she has permanently retired to the breeding pen. |
Veliraf's Leota
Sire: Gail's Clyde Dam: Veliraf's Juliet DOB - March 27, 1996 Colour - Black Weight - 2 pounds 1 ounce
This old gal isn't much to look at, but she produces some really nice rabbits. She is the Dam of many GC's, and is in the pedigrees of many of my rabbits. Her latest litter with McFee in June, She produced 2 bucks. They were so identical looking I decided to hold both back until they are mature. Both of them seem to have Leota's head, and her very bold cheeks. |
Veliraf's Kifa
Sire: Veliraf's Vergil Dam: Rosie's Psi DOB - October 8, 1998 Colour - Black Otter Weight - 2 pounds 1 ounce
Kifa could never seem to pose herself well enough to beat Ariel, but she finally came into her own, she started and finished her grand championship in one weekend. Although she does not have large litters ( to be honest, she has never had more than one kit at a time ) I have kept all of the kits that she has so far produced! (of which there are 2) They're aren't very many does who have that sort of a record here! |
Veliraf's Lani
Sire: Veliraf's Rijo Dam: Veliraf's Tia DOB - October 27, 1998 Colour - Agouti Himalayan Weight - 2 pounds 6 ounces
Lani is not a recognized colour of a Netherland Dwarf rabbit. However her structure was what made me hold her back. I am hoping that she will be able to pass on some of her type to her offspring. She was obviously not happy in this picture and I'll try ot get another soon. |
Veliraf's Pudding
Sire: Knott's Opey Dam: Grove's White Lace DOB - April 17, 1999 Colour - Chestnut Weight - 2 pounds 8 ounces
Pudding was only shown for a brief period in 1999, and even with such a brief appearance she did manage to pick up one leg to her grand champoinship. However, the first litter she kindled was live!!(which to me is a much bigger acomplishment) She was bred to Thompson's Fleet and produced two gorgeous opal does(who are both pictured below). I have kept both does back and cannot wait to show them in the spring. |
O'Connell's Iggy
Sire: O'Connell's H32 Dam: O'Connell's HU DOB - July 2, 1999 Colour - Ruby Eyed White Weight - 2 pounds 4 ounces
This is one of the does I managed to pick up at the convention in Kentucky last year. She and her sister Ziggy were only 12 weeks old when I bought them, but they have both turned into gorgeous adults! Now if I can only get a live litter out of them. Iggy is a little longer bodied than her sister, and never can seem to pose as well. |
O'Connell's Ziggy
sire: O'Connell's H32 dam: O'Connell's HU DOB - July 2, 1999 Colour - Ruby Eyed White Weight - 2 pounds 6 ounces
This is the other doe I picked up in Kentucky. She has done extremely well at the show this year. Ziggy has won 2 BOB's I BOS, and One BOG. She has been retired to the breeding pen, and will hopefully produce some live babies. She has the gorgeous thick fur that REW's are famous for. She is also an incredibly deep bodied rabbit. |
Veliraf's Kaluna
Sire: Knott's Opey Dam: Veliraf's Telina DOB - October 8, 1999 Colour - Opal Weight - 2 pounds 3 ounces
Kaluna is a nicely put together doe, who seems to retain better flesh condition than her father, Opey. Depending on her condition, I may begin showing her this spring. She has already produced a little chestnut buck who looks just like she did as a youngster. |
Veliraf's Gypsy
Sire: Veliraf's Piper Dam: Veliraf's Telina DOB - February 20, 2000 Colour - Black Otter Weight - 2 pounds 6 ounces
This little doe has never been shown, but would likely have done quite well. I am planning on breeding her for the first time this winter, and am hoping she'll raise some beautiful kits. |
Veliraf's Mags
Sire: Thompson's Fleet Dam: Veliraf's Pudding DOB - August 12, 2000 Colour - Opal Weight - 2 pounds 2 ounces
This doe was from Pudding's first litter, both she and her sister, Jiggs, look very nice. Mags is going to have a well developed head, with nice jowling. Although she is not posing properly, you can already see the depth of this girl. |
Veliraf's Jiggs
Sire: Thompson's Fleet Dam: Veliraf's Pudding DOB - August 12, 2000 Colour - Opal Weight - 2 pounds 2 ounces
A sister out of the same litter as Mags above, Jiggs looks like she will be a gorgeous doe. Jiggs will likely be a litter shorter in the mid-section than her sister will. |
Veliraf's Mrs. Zeus
Sire:Veliraf's Bill Dam: Veliraf's Kifa DOB - July 27, 2000 Colour - Black Otter Weight - 2 pounds, 6 ounces |
|
This is another doe that I think has tons of promise, she's quite young yet, but is already showing nice hindquarters, awesome depth, and her head is filling out nicely. I had originally thought that Mrs Zeus, was a buck. She'll hopefully make a wonderful show doe in the spring. |
Veliraf's Xenia
Sire: Veliraf's Shapiro Dam: Veliraf's Kiaura DOB - June 18, 1997 Colour - Tortoise Shell Weight - 2 pounds 7 ounces
This doe finished her Grand Championship fairly quickly, and managed to get a BOB as well. She is a solidly built doe, with very good width. |
I have finally had some luck in producing some does that are good enough to keep back, keep your eyes out for these
beautiful girls. I also have some other does who haven't posed for the camera yet. As soon as I am able, I will post their
pictures
