Subject: Mk3 VR6 Chin spolier on a MK2 - Walkthrough !!

Well........firstly, you need the following;

1 x Heat gun & glue sticks
1 x Tube of Sikka Flex
1 MK3 VR6 Chin Spoiler
1 Hand held flame torch / spot heater
1 Pair of sheet metal scissors A sharp knife or a hack saw blade

Put the 2 separate parts of the spoiler together as they would go on the car and define where the middle would
be.

Using the separate pieces, align each part up with the bumper, cutting off the bits that do not line up with the
aspects of the bumper *NB Note- Do NOT cut it all off, don't go silly as if you do this, you will not have enough
support to hold it onto the bumper with a definement.

Once you have managed to get your spoiler onto your motor so it rests with out holding it, you now need to
define the bend in the corner

Mark the start of the corner on the spoiler and estimate also where the corner will stop, then with a zig zag effect
using the scissors, cut out the bits of plastic until you can feel an ease in bend of the spoiler (do this to both
sides L/R) you then need to straighten the already bent part of the spoiler now, you need to cut most of the top
part of the spoiler to allow it to straighten. DON'T FORCE THE BEND OR YOU'LL RUIN THE PLANES OF THE SPOILER
!!

Now to actually get it to bend and stay bent, you need preferably to lift your car up so you can get underneath
it, and ideally 2 friends to help you, (I only had one but I struggled) Heat up the inside of the spoiler so that it
seems to become really soft and flexible, but not too much so that it bubbles the outside with the heat !! -
Whilst the spoiler is flexible, this is where you need to be fast; Apply the bends to the contours of the bumper
whilst one of your friends is underneath with the now hot glue gun sticking it to the bumper whilst yourself and
the other friend is making sure that the spoiler keeps its shape. Once glued and your holding it steady, all you are
waiting for now if for the glue and spoiler to cool down, so it might be an idea to use a watering can with a little
water to help cool it down a little quicker.

Once your happy with the set, use the sikka flex to strengthen what the glue had done, and maybe use a thin drill
bit through the spoiler/bumper and then some tie wraps just to make sure it doesn't fall off.

Right.......you are nearly done now, all there is to do now is to define the edges of the spoiler near to the arch,
this is down to your eye, the hack saw blade and the knife, once this is done..............well..........your
done..........so.............

Good Luck
