1499	Written record mentioning mountain pasture "on mountain pass behind Brana" (along the path to Kamnisko sedlo - Kamnik Pass) and herdsmen huts and dwellings.
1571	In Land register mountain pasture is mentioned, which were in ownership of Stari grad (Old Castle), probably including Velika planina. "Everybody who has his cattle on the pasture of Velika planina has to pay yearly 1 goat and 1 cottage cheese (Schotten) made of 1 day's milking of his cattle. (Neue reformierte Urbarium über Herrschaft Oberstein, Anno 1571, Folio 123, Državni arhiv Slovenije)
1750	Written records of pastureland on Mala planina (along description of old country borders).
1770	Date of painting Ex voto, reminding on wolfs on Velika planina; given by peasant/herdsman as grateful thanks for his salvation - now in a church of Saint.Anton in Podvolovjek.
1788	In the book "Cryctographia Carniolica" the map of Slovenian territory is published with denoted Velika planina, Slovenian name Kamelska planina is used (presumably by dialect usage of Kamelk instead of Kamnik)
1837	Dr.Johannes Frischauf - describer of mountains and Velika planina herdsmens' huts - is born.
midst 19.century	Profesor Johannes Frischauf describes tour to Velika planina stressing the tourist importance of beauties.
1875	Johannes Frischauf in the book "Die Sannthaler Alpen", researches form of herdsmen huts. As he does not get any information at Kamnik inhabitants he assumes, that the intermediate space is used as a shelter for the cattle.
end 19.century	On Veliki planini there is still joint pasturage of cows, oxen, sheep, horses and pigs.
1907	Written records of first skiers on Velika planina.
1910	Rearrangement of Slovene Mountaineers' Association hut above Wolfs Pit for tourist purposes. Skiing originators - "drenovci" (named after club's name - Dren) - on Velika planina
1913	Velika planina is partitioned on areas, everybody may pasture only on his own area; agreement is met that only sterile cattle may be pastured, they get allowance for yearly fell.r
1918	Path to Velika planina over Pasje pecine - Dog's rocks (SPD Kamnik - Mounetneer's Association Kamnik) is renewed. Soldiers coming from Austrian Army brought skis and spread enthusiasm for skiing (Cevc, Žvokelj).
1924	Dr.Johannes Frischauf, mountain describe including Velika planina, died.
1928	Tourist Association in Ljubljana prepares first palns for a cableway to Velika planian.
1929	Mešcanska korporacija (Kamnik town's corporation) is supporting construction of road to Kamniška Bistrica as prerequisite for building of cableway. In newspaper "Jutro", article is published describing development possibilities, if there were a cableway: "... would have world reputation, foreign tourist traffic would dramatically increase, as any reasonable human being could imagine ".
1934	The road is built up to Kopišca.
1937	G.Glauest compares in his work "Zur Besiedlung der Steiner Alpen ....", Deutsches Archiv für Landes ..., hedsmens' huts on Velika planina with similar ones on Dinara Mountains.
1939	Start of construction of Snow Maria Chappel (opening on June 29) July 31 - dr.Gregor Rožman consecrates Snow Maria Chhappel on Velika planina
1945	The Germans buned huts and Snow Maria Chappel on Velika planina (January).
1953	Fiorst bigger action for construction of cableway to Velika planina: Tourist Chamber of Ljubljana district - initiative committee establishes cooperative societu Cableway Velika planina with founding capital of 50.000 DIN.
1963	Opening of cableway to Velika planina. A.Melik describes in his work "Slovenija" herdsmens' huts and dwellings. He is comparig them with prehistoric ones (Brunhes) and later ones in mountains and in Istria.
1965	Vlasto Kopac maintains in his article published in "Planinski vestnik - Mountaineer's Journal", that the herdsmens' hut is the rudiment of prehistorical dwelling and probably legacy of preslavic heritage.
1966	Archeological Arheološka excavations on Velika planina. Stane Gabrovec in the journal "Kamniški zbornik" lightens in historical way origine of huts on Velika planibna.

April 23.	Time for sheep shearing on Velika planina
29.junij Saint Peter in Paul	Cattle departure to Velika planina: Leading cow gets bell (called "tropinar") decorated with flowers - rosemary, carnation . Herdsman gets bunch of flowers on his hat and on his stick. Farmer put on the threshold cross of blessed Easter rods and cattle has to step on it. Landlady blessed all of them with the holy water and said "God's holy cross". Departure was in the night, about 2 a.m., for lightning torches and matchwood has been used
August 24. Saint. George	Second sheep shearing on Velika planina.
13.november Saint Martin	Third sheep shearing on Velika planina
December 6. Saint Stephan	March with torches to Chapel of Snow Mary on Velika planina to the midnight mess.
