Brina's Story
Part 2
In the days that passed Percieus took Brina into a passionate world of lovemaking and her heart was swept away in pure ecstasy as she listened to his words of love and felt his passion. Her life couldn't be more complete now and she relaxed within the circle of love that he showered upon her. The spring turned into summer bringing out the sounds of busy insect and birds in their pursue of life. With it, Percieus and Brina's love prospered with each awakening day. The young centauress seemed to glow with happiness and the faun seemed to find his contentment in gollowing Brina about. It was early fall when Percieus suddenly sat up tall one day and listened to something in the distance. Something Brina didn't hear from afar, something in the wind. "What?" Brina looked at him surprised. "What is it Percieus?" Suddenly he jumped up on his cloven hooves and began to pace about nervously. "Percieus please tell me what's wrong." She tried to follow in his steps. "I have to go Brina." He stopped long enough to look at her. "I can't explain, I just have to go." "Alright then we can go. Just tell me where we're going." "No Brina, you can't come. I have to go alone." Shocked at his words she stared at him and spoke in an anguished voice. "No, you can't go without me. What will I do without you till you come back?" Percieus backed away from her slowly shaking his head. "You can't come. I have to go alone. Please don't ask questions Brina. I must go now." And with that he turned and began to rush off, but stopped quickly when he noticed Brina following him. "No Brina!" He snapped at her and pushed her away. "I said no!" Again he turned and rushed off, this time disappearing in the forest. Hearing what sounded like a loud bugle, Brina stood motionless trying to understand what it was and if this was the reason why Percieus rushed off without her. Tears welled up in her eyes and then fell, rolling down her cheek as she continued to stand unmoved, listening for any sign of the faun's return. As the sun faded into the distant hills, Brina continued to wait for Percieus' return. A return that she knew in her heart would never come. As the night came the sounds that always came with the darkness of the night, seened somehow frightful now and the dark shadows seemed to hold danger within them. She trembled with fear of these things that with Percieus, were only sounds of little interest. By daylight Brina was up and trying to follow the faun's tracks, but they too faded like thd sounds of his departure. Still she wandered the land in search of him in the hope of finding him. In this wandering, she met many creatures. Some were friendly while some were quite mean and nasty. Meeting these others creatures she would ask if they saw a faun pass them by. None had seen any. In the days that passed she traveled into warmer land where the weather was a steady warm flow. The land took on a somewhat different look and the air took on the different aroma of brine. It was a smell new to Brina and she stood sniffing the air as a warm breeze moved about her. "Hello." A soft voice broke the silence. Brina turned to the sound and saw a beautiful fair skinned woman standing next to her. For some reason this woman didn't frighten her and she calmly smiled back at her. "Hello back." Brina smiled as she turned to get a better look at this new stranger. It was then that Brina noticed the beautiful dove white wings protruding from this woman's back. She stared at her in wonderment. The woman chuckles softly and it sounded so sweet and pleasant Brina smiled. "You have been hurt many times in your young life Brina." The woman spoke gently. "and now you are lost and alone, feeling unsure of your life." In astonished silence, Brina nodded as tears suddenly filled her eyes. "I know my dear, and now you wonder if you want to even go on." The woman spoke softly. "Brina, you must be strong. The future holds good things in it for you and you must not give up. One day you will find your peace that you so desperately seek, but you must be strong. You must go on with your life and not give up." "But I have nothing to live for." Brina said wiping away the tears on her face. "All that I had is lost to me forever. My family, my friends," she hesitated and then added, "my mate." "But you must not give up dear Brina. You are stronger then that. Much stronger." Brina looked at the woman with confusion written on her face. "How do you know my name?" The woman only smiled. "I have no place to go." Brina's voice trembled, "I don't want to be alone." "You are not alone my dear." Soft blue eyes looked at the centauress. "Look around yourself. Know that there are many who care and need you as you need them." "No one needs me. I don't even know anyone." Moving closer to Brina, the winged woman smiled as she touched Brina's face and then laid a gentle hand on her equine back. "Look beyond yourself Brina. Look beyond this day." She looked out over the land as she held a gesturing hand out. "I have a place for you to stay and heel, or perhaps even spend the rest of your life there. "But I need to find someone." Brina answered. Then after thinking it over she added, "but maybe after I find him, Maybe then wecan both come to your land, but for now I have to find try to find him. I need him." "yes, you do Brina, but look not for who you expect. Look for the one that needs you as you need him." The woman then turned and began to move away from Brina. "But you need to tell me where this place is." Brina called out to the woman as she seemed to almost fade as she moved off into the woods. "You will know where to go to find my land." The woman's voice was heard even without her presence. "Just as you will know me always and forever." Brina stood staring at the area where she last seen the woman disappear. After awhile she shook her head and looked up the road she had been traveling and then continue down it. As she walked, for some reason, she seemed a bit more lighthearted and a smile came to her face as she thought about the beautiful woman with wings.
