This is my friend Catherine. She's really sweet and wears her heart on her sleeve.
Their Own Separate Worlds
Happiness is so true, but it's hidden secretly.
It can be found very easily,
Yet people are too lazy to unearth it
from its hiding place.
Greed has covered everyone's eyes,
Promising impossible things and leading them
far, far away from true happiness.
They can only see selfishness.
Only if people could just understand....
"Oh I just adore this diamond necklace,
and the earrings that go with it too!"
Has it ever occurred to them, that people are working,
Working harder than they are for food and a roof
over their heads?
They haven't realized it, the question is,
how long will it take them.
Closed up in their own separate worlds,
Wasting their money on expensive foods,
and luxuries that are unheard of.
To blind to notice that people are struggling,
Struggling to survive.
But someday, if they try really hard,
true happiness will come to them
The greed will disappear, and they will be
able to see again.
And then, and only then, will they realize
That true happiness comes, not from your
possessions,
But from the hearts of others, the people
that you love
Ode To Wendy
Wendy you are a priceless friend,
who will stick with you 'til the end.
She is a priceless jewl you find on the ground,
But you gotta talk to her, or she won't make a sound!
Whenever you are in a pickle or a jam,
She solves your problems in a second, BAM!
If you are feeling depressed or sad,
She'll make your problems not so bad.
Oh Wendy, Oh Wendy, how you are so great,
And how we met... Well, it's just fate!
You have helped me through all of my strife,
Oh, how you have and will influence my life!!
