A Chinese saying goes:

If we give a man a fish
He eats for one day
But if we teach a man to fish
He eats for lifetime

When you speak, when you write Remember the creative power of words

Even a blade of grass
If badly grasped
Can cut the finger

Think of Me

Think of me in the hour of pleasure
Forget me not in the hour of leisure
And if forgotten in the hour of care
Forget me not in the hour of your prayers

Friendship

Don't walk in front of me
I may not follow
Don't walk behind me
I may not lead
Walk beside me
And just be my friend

How to behave yourself
Take a full cup of patience, heartful of love, add a dash of laughter and a headful of understanding. Sprinkle kindness
generously and add plenty of faith. Mix this well and spread it over a period of lifetime. Serve it to everybody you meet.
How to relax yourself at work
When you can't escape the office, close your door, kick off your shoes and do a few yoga moves. You will notice immediate engery, focus and calmness of mind.

What to do: While you are sitting in the chair, simply place both hands lightly a top your shoulders, elbows out to sides, then rapidly extend upward, palms facing each other, while inhaling through your nose. Exhale through your nose as you rapidly lower hands back to start. Try to keep moving and breathing for a minute. Rest, then repeat.

How to Respond to failure

F: Forget about your failures. Do not dwell on past mistakes

A: Anticipate Failure. Realise that we all make mistakes

I: Intensity should be felt in everything you do. Never be a failure for lack of effort.

L: Learn from your mistakes. Do not repeat previous errors.

U: Understand why you failed. Diagnose your mistake so as not to repeat them.

R: Respond, do not react to errors. Responding corrects misktakes. Reacting magnifies them.

E: Elevate your self-concept. It is okay to fail. Everyone does. Now how are you going to deal with failure?

How to Succeed in Life

Greetings from my chittappa for my 19th birthday

(Between You and Me)

Although you are far away,
it only takes a thought
to bring you near so often, little things
I see and hear during the day
remind me of you...
and suddenly
the nicest feelings
warm my heart.
If things aren't going my way,
remembering you
can turn my day around.
And when something really great
happens to me,
I just can't wait for the chance
to tell you about it
I wish we could be together
more often than we are...
but it makes me happy
knowing that you're always with me
in the thought
Take Time
Take time to think;
it is the source of power.
Take time to read;
it is the foundation of wisdom.

Take time to play;
it is the secret of staying young.
Take time to be quiet;
it is the opportunity to seek God.

Take time to be aware;
it is the opportunity to help others.
Take time to love and be loved;
it is God's greatest gift.

Take time to laugh;
it is the music of the soul.
Take time to be friendly;
it is the road to happiness.

Take time to dream;
it is what the future is made of.
Take time to pray;
it is the greatest power on earth

About Love
No matter how old you get,
or how far away you go
my love is always with you
Heart to Heart
Though miles apart
My love for 'U' will
never depart
Moutains may fly
Rivers may dry
But my love for you will never die
Love is what I feel Can't define what I know But can't express
If it hurts you to look back,
frightnes you to look ahead
then just look beside you...
I'll be there

Free Yourself
Free yourself  from the habits that suppress you, people you depress you, rules that depress you.

Get rid of clothing that binds, and free yourself to move in comfort.

Free up some time every week - or everyday- to express your creativity.

Free your mind of negative thoughts and belittling beliefs.

Free yourself from relationships with people who want only to take and never to give.

Free the poet who's locked inside you.

Free the athelete who never got to run, the ballerina who never got to dance, the diva
who never had the freedom to sing.

Free yourself to be the woman you were always meant to be.

SCORING:

On questions, 1, 4, 10, just add up your points. On questions 3,7, and 9 only, add up the points in
this way: for every 4 you answered, add 0; for every 3, add 1; for every 2, add 2; for every 1, add 3;
and for every 0, add 4.  Do not add in your answers to questions 2,5, 6 and 8

RESULTS:

19-24:  Congratulations! You are a full-blooded optimist and a role model for pessimists around you.

15-18: You are nearly always in the habit of looking at the world through rose colored glasses.  Forgive
your little negative slips!

10-14:  You are evenly balanced - on any given day, you could go either way, considering the proverbial
glass half full or half empty.  You know how to be an optimist; you just need to work a little harder at it.

5-9:  Better take a long, careful look at your outlook - you are focusing on the clouds, forgetting to see
that silver lining. (It's usually there- really!)

0-4: Your chronic negativity must be a drag on your life and a trial for those you live and work with.  But
you can always improve you way of looking at the world by trying to think and behave in the way
optimists do.
