After the amazing display of the two companions fighting the assassin, the guard was too terrified to even come near the two, even while they laid on the ground in pain. Omurai finally worked the dagger out of his side, glad to see that it hadn’t gone in too deep. Still, the wound required tending, so he quickly dressed it and retrieved his weapons, which had been knocked out of his hands from the tackle. Asher had less trouble with his wounds. Though the blasts of energy hurt initially, all they left him was a bad headache, which was nothing the tough alchemist couldn’t handle. After retrieving his weapons as well, the two checked to see if any citizens were hurt. Other than hapless Tom, who was aching all over, everyone else was alright. “Who was that…” Omurai asked the citizens once things calmed down. “Did you see that mask of his?! It was that En’Dir character, I tell ya!” One old man shouted, pointing towards the front of the guard post, which displayed many bounty posters. Omurai and Asher examined the many posters, finally coming across a bounty for an assassin named Voyse En’Dir. Sure enough, the mask alone matched him with the man they had just encountered. “So, he’s got a bounty on his head, eh?” Omurai said, somewhat intrigued. “Looks like we’ll be getting some pay for revenge. It says dead or alive on it, after all.” Asher said with a grin, not missing a beat. “Indeed indeed…north we go then. No one sticks me with a dagger and runs away.” Omurai said, clenching his fists. Asher, always looking for easy money, shrugged and clasped his hands together. “And what a reward we’ll get for him!” With a new path decided, the two adventurers took the side of temporary bounty hunters and headed north after the assassin Voyse En’Dir. They would be ready for the second encounter. |
