It didn’t take the two void adepts very long to reach the peak of the tower.  The second to top floor had two stairways, each of them heading up to the throne room.  Draven suspected them to be trapped somehow, but clearly the traps wouldn’t be working.  Casually, he walked up the right stairway as Lyx walked up the left.  As they reached the throne room, Lyx stepped upon a stone that shifted a bit.  A loud bang was heard then, and both turned to see that a large stone block had fallen upon the stairways, blocking them off from everyone else.
“Figure out how to fix that.  It might prove a useful defense.” Draven said, nodding to Lyx,  who bowed.
Both turned to see how the final battle had ended.  Sitting upon the huge throne was a finely robbed skeleton, a spear jutting out of its side.  On the floor lied the remains of five soldiers, all of them sprawled across the floor except for one.  The one missing the spear.  It seemed he died either by mortal wounds after killing the lord of the castle or he died of some other unknown cause.
Draven approached the throne and held out his hand that grasped the Adept’s Stone.  Suddenly, a miniature black hole appeared, sucking up all of the skeletons, leaving the throne to himself.  He slowly sat down, a wide grin on his face.
“Ah, this feels better than I expected.  This is more than just some fancy chair…it is a signal of position.  I like it.” Draven said with a laugh.
Lyx, looking around the room, chuckled lightly.  “What to do now, sir?”
“We shall return to the lower levels and continue exploring what remains unknown of this castle.  Surely we’ll find some more useful things.” Draven explain, leaping up from his throne.
“Yes, of course, sir.” Lyx said, bowing slightly.
“These stones are still here…perhaps if I press the button again it will open them.” Draven said, pressing the hidden button with his foot.  When nothing happened, he glanced around the room for some other source.  He noticed a small stone raised a little higher than the rest near the throne.  He tapped it, and the stone traps were lifted up.  “There we go!  Now, we’ll have to keep note of that.”
Lyx nodded and started down the stairwell.

Voyse looked down upon the valley ahead of him.  On the other side of this valley likely lied the town he had heard of.  He sat down for a minute, resting his worn foot.
“Once I find this item…I’ll have to find that Draven again.  Well, that is too far ahead to ponder on…”  He said with a sigh, slowly rising to his feet again.  He didn’t wince when a streak of pain ran up his leg.  This pain was minuet compared to the pains he had felt over the years.  Slowly, he headed down the valley side.
Close behind him, two adepts walked with a quickened pace.  They were close on his trail, they knew, and it was only a matter of time before they would outdistance him and his wounded foot.
