Cass barely had time to stop the current before it hit him. Even though he was a wind adept, an electric blast would still do quite a bit of damage or even kill. Omurai was moving very quickly now as he hopped from arena side to side. Omurai stopped and looked at the King. His eyes were wide open and so was nearly every person’s in the arena. He smiled and decided it was time to open more eyes. He drew his Wakizashi and did a few double sword moves at Cass. It was hard enough to wield a regular katana one handed but his katana was much bigger than a normal one. Cass began to slow down he could no longer block all of Omurai’s moves. Then he did another quick Wind tremor and blew Omurai’s weapons away as well as his. They stood a good 100-200 ft apart after the blast with no weapons. Omurai walked forward a bit casually and laughed. He stuck both his hands out and muttered something to himself as he did a few hand motions. Then A large swelling of wind and electricity gathered in his hands, he let it grow for a while and charged forward until he was close enough where he pushed it out and threw it at Cass. It looked as though hundreds of lightning bolts were gathering into one ball as they rushed at Cass. His eyes got huge as the Blast crashed into him and erupted into a large wind & electric blast. When the smoke cleared Cass was still standing, but not for long as he fell to his knees then fell down completely. He wasn’t dead but he couldn’t move. No one cheered for Omurai’s victory, as Omurai looked around to see why he noticed everyone was amazed even Rinze was wide-eyed. Then a giant uproar began as they realized he actually won. As the uproar continued the King turned to the same man. “I told you Cass would get embarrassed.” He said with a smirk. “The Plasma Sonic Charge? Why would you teach-” The king started to say but was cut off. “Hey, I told you he was ready for a commander position…don’t doubt me” he said with a laugh. With that victory Omurai was made into the Commander of the 5th Battalion… The next day Omurai emerged from the same stairs of his house to have the same greeting as yesterday. “Hey, Omurai…I can’t believe you beat Cass…I’ve known you since you were around 5 and you have been stubborn and a retard at time but now you are a Commander in the Royal Guard…wow” Rinze said as she approached him. Rinze and Omurai had been friends since she and him were little. They used to always get in trouble and would sneak into the Royal Castle. “I do thank you for the supportive message…” he said sarcastically “Again you are dressed in your military gear? Why may I ask?” she asked “I am moving out with my Battalion today for the Outpost of Gannavile, a stronghold for Kalcoon troops just inside the Liteo Range.” He said proud of the fact that he was commander. “I don’t know how long it will last but we should easily overpower a small Kalcoon outpost.” “Still you should be careful…you’ve never had to lead a battalion.” She said and hugged him. After She went back inside her house as Omurai said bye and left for the Royal Castle again. He kept receiving congratulations from people on the street as he walked by. He entered the Royal Castle and he met the highest-ranking Soldier in the Entire Royal Army, he is the Kingdom’s most powerful warrior, He was quite a buff man and was about the same size as Omurai only a bit taller. He was probably 5 years older than Omurai. His hair was White with slight golden streaks it was spiked in the back but laying forward down to his check on his front, he wore a headband in which instead of a silver plate with the Cloud City insignia on it his plate was gold. He wore a heavy scarf and his right arm had a long sleeve over it as to not be seen, he held this arm to as if it was injured. He was dressed like most soldiers except for his long sleeve and a long tasset that came over his right side too. He had only one normal katana on his belt. “Hello Omurai, I must say I am impressed when I saw you in the arena.” He said to him as he approached. “Thank you Searic.” Omurai said and walked up to him. His name was Searic Olain and he was commander of the 1st battalion an elite battalion that no army has went against and lived to tell over their prowess. “So have you come to mock me and tell me not to die?” Omurai asked, he knew Searic could easily command his battalion and take over Gannavile, but his battalion was working its way towards the Kalcoon capitol. So why was he here? “Actually I am serving as an overlord in your assignment…it’s your first mission as commander after all.” He said with a slight laugh. Searic had known Omurai for a while before this. “I am not to interfere unless you screw up…the king wants this outpost.” “Why would he do this to me? I thought I earned Aisig’s trust.” Omurai said and walked around. Aisig Failyn was the King. Relentlessly Omurai brought Searic with him as he boarded his battalion into a large array of flying vessels. These looked like normal boats but they could fly, the Cloud City skills men magically enchanted them. He looked over the Bow of the boat and saw the Liteo Mountain range grow closer and closer. Then he saw the skies darken and Thunderclouds move in. “They know we are coming. They will try to strike us out of the sky with lightning.” Omurai said aloud. He walked over and yelled so that all the boat drivers could hear. “Steady through the storm. As soon as it is clear land the boats and charge on the outpost.” Omurai said and looked on as they entered the Mountain Range and the storm. The Lightning struck down hard and Omurai tried to avert it the best he could. He looked to his side and saw a Bolt crash through a ship and it started to fall. The soldiers bailed out and tried to fly down safely. The ones that could fly that is. The boats managed to fly through safely and only a few more were struck down. The boat slowly became level with the land and the soldiers jumped out of the boats and began a charge on the outpost. Even in the Dark provided by the Storm Omurai could tell that the Kalcoon Soldiers look to be lightly armored if any armor at all. He remembered that Searic said they fought with more finesse than power. Omurai saw this to be true when two bald men wearing robes and small leather armor under it ran out with long spears. They split up and began moving around him almost as if in a dance and they poked and slapped at him with the spears. He drew his katana and took a swing at one only to miss and go off balance, he quickly turned and blasted one with a wind ball. The Monk left spun his staff around and slammed it down to cause a wind slash that hit Omurai and sent him back. Omurai stood up and flung about 8 shurikens which 4 of them hit the monk killing him. “That was ridiculous, at least a minute to kill two of these guys.” He ran with a few off his troops and summoned a huge gust to knock a couple of monks down. His soldiers ran up and killed them. They entered the Military outpost and saw that the battle had begun. There was mass chaos as in the dark weather he could see wind blasts swords spears and shields being hit and broken. |
