Czech Republic, Sept. 20, 2000

I took the train from Landsberg to Praha (Prague). On the train, I found this pretty girl that I would very much like to get to know. Especially if she lives in Praha, then I will have more insight of the city. I planned to make conversation with her after I finish my lunch from Leche with a bottle of beer. Just when I was pulling out my lunch box, I found her took out a cigarette and lit it. Then I found out that I was in a smoking cart. So I packed up everything and went on a quest to find a non-smoking cart. After going through quite a few train carts, I finally found the non-smoking section, had my delicious lunch, loaded myself up with German beer, then took a nap.

I was waken by two German policemen. They asked for my passport. They saw the stamp I got as I entered Germany in 1999. They asked me how long I had been staying in Germany. I told them that it had been about 5 days. I arrived in Paris, and the French officer did not stampped my passport. They believed me.

So my bloody Let's Go Europe 2000 was a bit out of date. The freaking Tourist Information Office closed an hour early. So it was also World Bank Summit. All the hotels raised their price a week before, and everything was booked up. So I spent my first evening walking around the city of Praha looking for a hotel.
