| Naturally, music is my biggest hobby. I am mostly interested in opera and art song, but I like most kinds of music. I am currently a voice student of Dr. Susan Lyle of Converse College and my previous teachers at WCU included Dr. Mary Kay Bauer and Dr. William Martin. I was a former drum major of the Pride of the Mountains marching band for 3 years and have been teaching camps, clinics and workshops for marching bands, trumpet and for drum majors for about 7 years. I am also an alumnus of the Epsilon Lambda chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi . (F'97) I have taught private piano to beginners, headed up the musical functions for Hungry For Hope Ministries in Spartanburg, SC, and been a member of the Asheville Lyric Opera's Chorus and Educational Outreach Program as well as a performer with the Spartanburg Repertory Company, I had a very successful student teaching experience at Tuscola High School, have done substitute work for Spartanburg County School District 6 and also have done work at an ICF-MR facility as a habilitation assistant. |
