The Lodge of UR is currenty active in Italy and several other European countries. It is the result of exchange and cooperation between practitioners of several ancient religious and occult traditions. We are connected by the realization of the common roots of all traditions: the direct relationship between a Priesthood and the World of the Spirits.

We have been able to draw parallels on the impressive similarity of some ancient occult European practices with the Afrikan-based traditions such as Umbanda, Santeria, Palo Mayombe, Quimbanda, Vodou, and others which similarly operate with heavy elemental powers and the Spirits of the Dead. Truly, these great Afrikan traditions were able to preserve a lot of practical knowledge which had been lost in the northern hemisphere. Whether the Roman Witches learned to call Spirits inside their Cauldron by Afrikan Wizards or that it was a remnants of shamanic practices, it is not a point we are able to discuss. Instead we focus on the effectiveness of the practices and the genuine contact with the Guides from the Spiritual World.

The beauty of "Becoming": the unfolding of the Path of an initiated priest is a unique and very personal event. It is often the result of the Remanifestation of an Enlightened Being unto this material world. Dreams and unusual events out of the ordinary are posted along the Path to help us to Remember our Pact of Awakening. Before every incarnation there is a step where we plan our future development in agreement with our Guides. Forgetfulness and negligence are able to generate bad effects and friction: often troubles occur to "refresh" our memory.

Because of the process of incarnating in a chain of lives, an individual may have tried many traditions in his/her search for freedom and knowledge. Some traditions may have been pursued because one has been born in it, others because of their esoteric appeal. The fact is that it exists no "complete" tradition as it is, and while Truth does in-form them all, the integral development of a human soul can be only possible by crossing the paths, that is to say practicing a complimentary path to gather the missing fragments and compose the whole picture.

Another reason to interest oneself in what is taught in other traditions, and/or practice more than one tradition, is the need to check one's ego against self-obsession and ego-tripping. It is mandatory to be always humble in front of the Sacred, never to assume that Truth is only in our hands.

To reach an integral development of one's Soul, it is not enough to stick to the "one and only" Path, but it is important to be aware of any alternative growth possibilities offered by others. This is why most members of the Lodge are initiated in different traditions (Umbanda, Witchcraft, Mithraism, Shamanism, Santeria, IFA). We will soon publish some personal pages of the Adepts of the Lodge where more practical aspects will be exposed and discussed.
