| Children are a blessing from God, and should be treated as such. Often we hear the excuse for abusing a child, is that the abusers were abused themselves. Remember this, that when it was happening to you, you could not find any excuse to justify what your parent or another adult was putting you through (did it matter if your dad/mom was abused, would it have made a difference? Would it make it hurt less? Well, just as you would not accept those excuses neither will the child you are abusing today. If you were abused in the past, the only way to show how wrong it was is to never abuse your child in the present, if not you are justifying what was done to you. |
