Music was always there in my house as a child. My parents provided the crooners and popular classics from Reader's Digest and my siblings the pop music of their day, seventies and eighties. I enjoyed the music they played, I never listened to the radio.
Next thing school happened and I found myself with a new circle of friends who helped awaken a passion for sound.
Being in the skateboarding and the clubbing scenes in the late eighties/early nineties meant listening to a lot of new and interesting music. Most of it being garage punk bands and bedroom composers, it seemed only natural to try it out for ourselves.
I had vinyl sickness in ninety one after buying some turntables which lead me to purchase a Korg M1 in ninety two, my first synth. This started a new passion for music equipment.
MATT: We first met at college, his caravan was a smoke filled delight of Tolkien and Kraftwerk. Since then we have become great friends, sharing similar passions.
