LA RESPOSTA de  espana@google.com  o  espanol@google.com  quan els comentes que no vols que et forcin la pagina en castella

Thank you for your note. We are working to increase our capacity to respond in Catalan. At this time, however, we are only able to answer in English. We realize this is an inconvenience and we are striving to improve our service.

We understand your concerns regarding www.google.es. Please be assured that we haven't removed or cancelled the Catalan-language Google page you may have been using previously.

Google normally redirects users in certain countries from www.google.com to one of our local destination sites (for example, www.google.fr for Google France). We use the Internet address assigned to your computer, which is frequently the Internet address of your Internet service provider (ISP), to determine which Google site corresponds to your geographic location. We also offer you the option of avoiding this redirect and using www.google.com in your preferred language instead.

As you've noticed, we've recently launched a new domain: www.google.es .

If you'd like to use www.google.es in Catalan, click the 'Catala' link. As long as you have cookies enabled in your browser, you'll only have to do this once; after that, your browser will remember that you prefer Catalan, and show you the page in this language. Because this is a local international site, rather than www.google.com, the logo shows 'Espanya' beneath the regular Google logo. This doesn't reflect the language the page is appearing in, only its location.

If you prefer to use www.google.com in Catalan, click the 'Google.com in English' link. This will redirect you to Google.com. Again, as long as you have cookies enabled, you won't need to do this more than once. To set this page to display in Catalan, click the 'Preferences' link. Select Catalan from the drop-down menu for 'Interface Language'. Be sure to click 'Save Preferences' before leaving the page.

If you prefer not to use cookies at all, you may want to set a bookmark for  www.google.com/intl/ca/  to access www.google.com in Catalan.

We apologize for any inconvenience this process may cause you. We appreciate your feedback on this topic, and thank you for taking the time to write. We'll keep your comments in mind as we work to improve Google. If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Regards, The Google Team

LA RESPOSTA de google.com quan els contestes preguntant que perque mantenen l'enllaç a espanya en la pagina en catala?, i si ets d'Andorra?

Thank you for your reply. Again, we regret that we are currently unable to respond in Catalan.

Although we do offer www.google.es in Catalan for any users who might prefer that option, we also have a non-country-specific Catalan page at  www.google.com/intl/ca/ . The logo on this page reads 'Google Català. Similarly, we offer a Basque interface at  www.google.com/intl/eu/ , and so on. We hope to provide as much flexibility as possible, so that our users can find the interface which is most useful to them.

We very much appreciate your reply and detailed comments. We really value thoughtful feedback from our users, and we'll keep yours in mind as we work to improve Google and our international sites. If you're unable to reach your preferred Google page, please let us know.

Thanks again for taking the time to write.

Regards, The Google Team
