Project 4 Father Miguel Hidalgo
Component A:For component A, I decided to do my research on Father Miguel Hidalgo. I found many interesting web sites about him but my favorite one is www.laprensa-sandiego.org/archieve/september11/father.htm. I chose this site because it gives a detailed summary of how Father Miguel Hidalgo fought the battle for independence. I also chose the picture from this website. This picture is an allegorical painting of Father Hidalgo crowning Mexico as helps break the chains that tied her to Spain.
Father Miguel Hidalgo is known as the father who fathered his country. It was said that he had a unique distinction of being a father in three different senses: a priest, a biological father and the father of his country. Hidalgo was born in Penjamo, Guanajuato, on May 8, 1753. His family was middle class and worked in an hacienda. Hidalgo attended college and received a bachelor's degree in theology and was known as an entrepreneur and a humanitarian.

Father Hidalgo changed the destiny of many Mexicans when his grito "shout" known as the cry of dolores, took place on September 15, 1810 at 11pm. This grito was a declaration of defiance against Joseph Bonaparte and the Spaniard people that lived in Mexico. This started the revolution that changed Mexico's history and made Mexico the first country to declare independence from Spain.

Component B:
Imagenery Journal of Father Hidalgo.
March 21,1810
I have initiated a commitee to start a revolution against Joseph Bonaparte and the Spaniards. I am tierd of seeing how the Spainards abuse their power and treat my people unfairly. I need to get my people to believe in me and join forces to stop this abuse. I know that if we come together we can make a difference for our people. I need to start organizing groups of people to protest against the Spainards. I know this won't be easy because my people are afraid to protest against any commands the Spaniards make. We also don't have the weapons needed to start a revolution. Many people will get killed but I believe it will be worth it. We will fight with anything we can get and we will fight with our hearts to be free.We have the right to be independent and we'll be at what ever the cost might be! I have faith that my lord will protect us. We have come along way and we need to find all the support I can get from my people.
